  • Took the bike to Garware Motors to get it checked prior to leaving for the IronButt Bunburner ride. Now the clutch feels so light and the gear change is smoother

    • For those who have visited service centres 2-3 times or got their first service done, can you rate how is the service centre and how many mechanics are in place there?

Just got to know that there is only 1 mechanic for the whole NCR region so if he leaves its a scary thought, how many are there in other cities? Seems Garware isnt confident enough with its stint in India - only 1 mechanic per serv centre?

What all gets changed in first service ? 3.4 litres oil, oil filter and anything else?
      Will get my own oil.

Hey bro.In Mumbai city there is only one service center which have 3 mechanics present, besides the workshop manager.
In the first service the engine oil(actual 3.2Ltr) and oil filter gets replaced. You can also bring in the engine oil brand of your choice

Same happened to me when me and my friend was standing outside CCD. Two guys came there on activa and splendor with girl. Girl was staring at bike like anything and one of the guys, don't know with what kind of feel, asked me from where i get this modified. I got so angry within a moment that i shouted at him straight "idhar aa, abhi batata hu kaha se karwayi " (come here , i will tell you from where i get this done) and moved towards him to punch him actually . He just started his activa and ran away .... Muscles works sometime ,but its really pissing off thing when someone calls your so expensive bike as modified one...grrrrrrr

                        • Weird.. I didn't want to use the 4ltrs of Motul 300v which i already have for 1st service since the oil is FS. I have decided to save it for later, maybe after a couple of months or so, once the head and rings are more properly sealed.

I was curious and wanted to know what is the factory recommended oil on the GT? The reply came back - "It is fully-synth sir"...

I couldn't believe what i was hearing. I asked what brand? and i was told "It is a Korean Brand sir"... anyhow.. to heck with it, i went for Motul Semi-Synth. Does anyone happen to know what brand of oil exactly does Hyosung "really" use? and whether it is FS or SS?

Same with me... I thought they will use Semi-Synthetic but the mechanic advised to put FS.. so put Castrol FS.

No idea bro on which oil brand came with the bike ,neither whether it was semi or fully synthetic based one

I honestly hope that the mech/dealer is not too sure about what grade goes into the bike and it really is a semi-synth oil and not FS. I was asked why i was switching to a SS from an FS. I told them because i dont want to use FS oil for the first 5000 kms. The next question from the dealer was... "Then what about the fully synthetic oil with which you had run in the bike for the first 1000kms"... i was
