    Can you tell me the name of the A* gloves you are wearing, & where you sourced them from. I'm looking to pick gloves myself, & it would help.

    The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

      • 100 kms done
        Came back home at 4 PM, had some rest and gave GT a nice wash to clean all the mud and slush which got stuck yesterday. Took the bike out at night because at daytime its extremely torturing for rider at present due to the heat effect and traffic and my friend wanted to see the bike.

        Had a small lean and once put into the corner this bike is rock steady, dont know why but on bad roads am sure this bike would be bone jarring. Went through a bad potholed road and the experience wasnt good.

        The headlights are awesome, opposite traffic had to lower their beam when i flashed lights and the engine - man this has torque, loads and loads of it. Much more than i had ever expected, even in 5th gear you open the throttle and the thrust pushes you back with the rowdy exhaust note.

        Coming to heat, yeah its significant for now but thats how these superbikes are. Also its in running in so its bound to heat up because every vehicle does. The heat aggravates at idling and if you keep her in lower gears then the heat really gets high. I was full kitted up today - helmet, jacket, gloves, boots and i really felt hot at traffic lights. Best thing is to switch it off if the light is 40-50 secs.

        The vibes, i went till 6000 RPM as thats the limit for now and nopes, negligible vibes, maybe they are higher up the revv range
        Completed 100 kms today and am getting to know the bike more n more.
        Issues
        1. The mirrors - They are loose, dont stick to their set position but i have contacted svc and they will get it done on Sat.

        2. The front visor is vibrating - its making a krrrr sound and this is irritating me big time now snatching the riding fun away. I will have to get this fixed before anything.

        3. When the bike is in Neutral and you open the throttles a lil to revv it, not smoothly but a lil abruptly till 3000 rpm, something under the tank makes noise and makes its presence felt.

        Like something moves and makes a kat noise? Any idea?

        @rakshit
        Thanks buddy, owning a litre would be another dream but thats still in my heart for now because even with a 650 am not getting enough roads to even put the 6th gear and i live around a place which has 6 lanes everywhere

        @mittal
        Thanks

        @Tibby
        Thanks buddy, the white has that elegant touch which sure looks great, am in love.
        The gloves are Alpinestars GP PRO, costed 210 $ and i got them from US.

        @Pulsar flame.
        Thanks bro

              Word on the street is that hyosung is localizing within India at such a fast pace that within 2 years almost all of the OEM Spares would be fully manufactured within India. I suppose, It would only be a matter of time before the entire bike is put together here. Meaning, a 30% drop in prices if/when this actually happens. While this is good news for prospective new buyers who may get the brand new GT at close to 4L on-road sometime down the line, i am not sure how this is going to depreciate the current set of GT's.

              I just hope that the part quality remains the same...

              It has maintenance free 12ah battery, meaning it can support more than 3 projectors (i cant think of how it could be put to use ), the bulbs are H1/H3 and sit on a transparent globes.

              Personally, i am not too happy with the low beam since i ride 90% after sunset for my regular commute. For those that dare to try, the HID upgrades are quite easy and relatively inexpensive with slim ballast.

              We should let them know about this week's meet. Would be fun to have another ride again... this time it would be along with the N650's and ST7.

              Nice of you to check with them. Its weird to hear from em, that they dont stock yoshi's, being an authorized distributor.

                Does this apply to the 250 as well? I can wait for the price to come down.
                Its a good comeback for Hyosung IMO.

                Why are you not happy if both are projectors?
                I can imagine the kind of throw it will generate in high beam.
                People go ga-ga about P220's single projector, this is x2!

                  Well thats something to ponder on, i was stuck because i thought GT250R would look the same as 650R taking away the snob value of the bike but i had to control the thoughts and go ahead.

                  If they are saying 2 years, it would definitely take more time and i hope by 3 years we are all able to upgrade to something else

                  Even now, the throw of high beam is enormous. Agree with Brat that low beam is a lil disappointing. High beam is superb though, cars lower their lights everytime

                  Anyone going in for HID's? I know warranty issues but with projectors they would look awesome.

                    Mel,

                    Is it legal to get the after market exhaust fitted to GT ????
                    People look for mileage... But I choose Mile Age

                      Yes bro,it is perfectly legal to fit a aftermarket exhaust but it will void the warranty.

                            Thanks bro. Yeah, am just setting up my hand on the GT, its tough to transition from a 220 to GT because of there riding position and other factors. Once done we should go for a small ride to Murthal or somewhere

                              Yup, it will be little difficult to get used to so much power under the hood and ride to Murthal will be great.. PM me when you plan to go for ride.

                              • MY HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE GT OWNERS!!! Way to go guys! Thats one hell of a bike! I cannot stop dreaming about it from the very time I saw it!

                                I want to say this:
                                "There are Hayabusas, there are Gixxers, there are R1s, and then there is, the one and the only, the GT650R!"
                                This is going to be a CULT machine!
                                Hell its one already! What a beauty!

                                I can only imagine how proud you Hyosingers must feel!

                                Why Hyosingers? Well, we love to make sweet music with our Hyosungs dont we?

                                On a more personally-informative note, you guys are living your dreams and here I am, living nightmares on a daily basis, waiting for the delivery of my GT650R, 2 weeks past the booking day. I booked it the first day the dealership opened here! Its unfair to make me wait! Its another 10 days or so (hopefully) of sleepless nights and GT Dreams () for me I guess, before I lay my hands on this dreamy bike.

                                About this thread, the ownership experiences coupled with the timeline pictures and reviews of the bike are just fantastic! Reading all the great posts here is better than doing absolutely anything else at all...movies, partying, socializing,whatever. But these posts are injurious to health for guys like me, they make the wait to own the bike even more agonizing! What with all the great reviews, pictures and experiences...the govt should hire you as The Third Degree experts!

                                I read a lot of reviews of this bike and the subsequent cribbing about build quality, fibre noise, first gear issue, engine stall blah blah blah! That actually makes me want to buy this bike even more! The things people expect from a sportsbike costing 5.6 L is just so unjustified. If you disagree, then go buy the Ninja 650..the powerful commuter that you always wanted. But dont come back complaining when you turn around, sitting on it, and notice there is hardly any Bike behind you! Cribbing about the tiny size, the barely audible exhaust note and the plain looks. Hey, you got great build quality, a 650cc engine, smoother gears, great mileage, a bright green color and paid 50K less...what you complaining about???
                                HA! Read this thread and get jealous..is all I can say. I mean what is a bike without a few flaws? Where is the biking experience without the rider having to stay sharp and knowledgeable about his ride and being involved in the evolution? Come on. the CULT bikes have always been the one that misbehaved. I dont like the boring oh-so-perfect category. I have my cars for that.

                                Well, I just can't wait to own this baby and every passing hour feels like a day! To all you extremely fortunate blokes who already own it...best of luck and please continue posting all the great things you guys have to say. And never forget to add pictures!

                                I shall be back soon to bug you guys a wee bit more with my write-up of my first time. I am inspired.

                                XBHP Rocks!

                                Have a fantastic day!
                                Cheers!
