  • No service today as well - mechanic didnt come on Fri, Sat he went to Punjab for marriage, Sun he came back but no news and today also when i called the GM service he says " I will let you know".

Straight away dashed a call to Mr Sanjay GM service, Pune and told him about the disappointing and loser attitude of this Gurgaon dealership or maybe all service centres over India, got a call from GM service Gurgaon that he will now send a technician over tomorrow evening.

Its only when you call or mail Pune that things get going or else everyone enjoys browsing facebook and having tea in their offices here.

Told Sanjay how their reputation is getting a hit everywhere and dealers like these would ensure Hyosung-Garware are dead even before they launch 250cc bikes.

Meanwhile got a call from someone interested in GT, i think he got my number from dealer, told him to just stay away from the bike till a new dealer opens in Delhi as the NCR guys are anyways frustrated.

Sanjay told me that their Lajpat nagar people are opening workshop soon and he would send me all the details there and make sure those people are good and he would personally look into these issues with Gurgaon service centre as they are getting repeated complaints from there.

GT650R is a good product and would definitely be let down by poor service, open 10 dealers like here and you should definitely see hyosung packing bags, bidding farewell and screwing us all.

Never ever thought the service standards for an important area like NCR would be this low - waiting for new dealer, if he is the same am selling off the bike before its too late, might have to book a loss of 70-80k but am fine with it - peace of mind has no price
Would get a lot of brickbats from my father but you do make mistakes in life, nothing wrong in accepting them and moving forward.

    • It is sad to read that few people are having so many issues with the SVCs. And If i read correctly it is all with Gurgaon showroom only right?

I am in chennai and so far I have felt that the SVC guys here have been very kind and helpful. Technically they are not sound for sure. But atleast they try to solve the problem and work on it.

I am trying to find whether this prob is with only specific SVC's.

Anyone here has faced similar issues with any service center's here(apart from gurgaon)? We all can consolidate and send a detailed email to garware itself on this. Individual emails will be considered as one single issue and chances are that it will get neglected.

You did a good job again. And i have really seen this that only after putting some pressure through headquarters these people at Gurgaon SVC do something. I have no idea why these people are so lazy and full of attitude? Car companies don't even show such attitude or disrespect to customers whether they buy a car of 3 lac or 30 lac.

I did same and also told one of the person referred by them to me that this bike service is useless and its of no use to buy this bike taking this kind of service in consideration.

I am also thinking about selling my bike once it will be back to me. If i have to handle pain of waiting for bike parts for months, i would rather go for a R6 or R1, than some average performing bike.

I don't agree with this. If any single customer is facing any issue it can't be neglected. Whether its an issue with one bike or with 10, they have to consider it high priority. This is what they promised and because of this, product is moreover selling in India. And those who don't give damn to these issues, Consumer courts are meant to teach lessons to them.

When I mentioned issue, it is not the issue on a bike. It is the issue over that service center people. Individual complaints would be seen by the company mostly as a individual customer's BIKE problem and they might try to address it. Service center people's attitude will not come into picture.

Whereas if a group of people complaining about a SVC, then I am sure the focus would go towards that SVC people and might be considered.

Exactly, a list of such service centres should be enclosed and digitally signed by all GT650R owners and sent to Garware so they know the type of people they have employed. These people should be given stern warning or even the dealership revoked if they dont improve.

A dealer less is better than having a dealer which makes the sales less - the service this side of India is hopeless and unless they improve it, no use buying a GT naked or covered with clothes.

P.S : 1 mechanic for whole Delhi and nearby area, my bad i didnt do my homework and believed in crap, if i had known this i wouldnt have been a part of this thread. Cmon - 1 mechanic only for such a huge area, speaks for itself.

              • Guys, its really sad to read all this.

But its very obvious, the issues are only with the dealerships/service in the Northern part.
The service and response in the rest of the country from Garware-Hyosung is just fantastic. I have only heard and read good things, not just in this forum but outside as well and some in person.

I think Garware needs to cancel the dealership in North and look for someone better there. There are way too many complaints from that side.

Fortunately, I am very lucky to be not having to deal with such incompetent and careless people.

You guys have to believe me when I tell you that Graware-Hyosung service and care is absolutely awesome in the rest of the country.

If you guys in Delhi-Gurgaon-North region want to lodge a formal complaint about this dealership, I am with you and I am sure most other GT owners will support you. After all, this is a brotherhood.

Best of luck to you guys.

                Cheers!

                AG

Forgot: Men_In_Jean - Beautiful pictures bro, just awesome! I would have liked to see more pictures of you doing the track run though, and a video would be fabulous. Am planning to bring the GT for a track ride at the MMSC after the first service, I have done 800kms already. Will get in touch..would be nice to meet up.

                • I've received some good quality service from the Chennai SVC so far, the responses have been faster that what i'd expected and they have the courteousness to call me 2 or 3 days after any complaints (even minor ones, such as a squeaky sound from nuts & bolts, etc.) that they would have fixed for me.

They dont have exceptional knowledge when it comes to the product but they get the job done and dont make up excuses. Also, they keep me updated about status - They call me before i call them. They appear to take customer satisfaction seriously.

I will be visiting the Bangalore SVC later this month and all i've been hearing on this center are good things.

Were all the SVC related issues from Gurgaon center Only?

The chennai showroom head here told me(when I spoke to him 6 months back) that they can get any Comet 250 parts if required through Garware. So I think even the bangy guys will be able to do it. If not let me know bro, I will ask people here again.

                        • I have used the services of the mechanic at the Mumbai location and they don't store any other model parts. I have a GV250 and I usually order my parts online at HyosungSource.com, Hyosung Parts at Unbeatable Prices . There are some talks of the GV250 & GT250 being officially launched in India next year. Parts availability might be solved locally then

                          • Got the first service done today - changed the oil to Mobil 1 fully synthetic and changed the oil filter and some routine checks which they carried out.

Total bill came to INR 3700 - they said their accounts section was closed so they will mail the bill, just paid and took signature that i have paid 3700.

The door step service is not useful in the sense that they dont have a so called service van and the mechanics dont have all tools required. I had to give a bucket for draining oil and a few wrags to clean the engine oil mess and also use my blower to clean the air filter - yikes

Going to workshop is a better option because my GT got all dirtied up and they quickly did everything and rushed away, the chaps are helpful but service leaves a lot to be desired, they need to improve a lot.

Now they just put in 3 bottles of Mobil 1 which means 3 L - when i said it requires 3.4, he said its for a totally dry engine. Told me 200 ml less is better than 200 ml extra which is very harmful for engine - any clue or do i need to go and myself fill 200 ml.

                            • Why do we need to pay the taxes 2 times ,

                              1. 3 Litres of Mobil fully synth costs 2550 which is MRP (incl of taxes)
                              2. Oil filter costs 662 which is MRP (checked on box incl of taxes)

Total - 3212 and i paid 3700 which means the taxes got added once more, is it done this way only?

P.S: Didnt get the bill yet, would be mailed to me tomorrow.

hey Mav.. i do the same as well but if i need some parts that are pricey, then i need to pay to get it here as well... so might as well see if they have spares like Discs which is used in the 650 which can be used in the 250 as well...
