Initially, not much. Based on what I've already read here, I'm almost certainly going to replace the horn, something that is all too common for many motorcycles, not just this one. The dealer where I'll be buying does not have a separate delivery depot, so I expect to be there when the bike arrives in its crate, and I will have them replace the oil with Motul 3000 and go through the dealer prep with them. If I happen to have the spare cash, I'll get the bike repainted per the photo I posted a few pages back. Later on, once the original tires are worn, I'll see if I can get ahold of some Pirellis or Metzelers. I'm not going to go all out on this bike, since I will be buying a Hayabusa in the not-too-distant future, and I'll need all the money I can scrape together for that one, since it eats a chain/sprocket set and a set of tires every year.Originally posted by NikhilB View Post
Did you actually repair whatever was causing those error codes, or did you just clear them?Originally posted by Ri$hi View PostATGATT: All The Gear, All The Time!

Doga,Originally posted by Doga View PostA lot of speculation has been made over the pages here about that khat khat noise which comes from behind of the bike when a pothole is ridden over.
It was believed that may be it was due to the fender hitting the tyre hugger . I always thought whether the shocker could compress to such an extent to allow that to happen especially when relatively small potholes, even rumblers are encountered?
NikhilB was also discussing this on team BHP and I happened to read it, but could not post there as I am not a member.
Well I tried to investigate the source as the sound had become really frequent and annoying of course.
What I found was that the source was actually a loose fender eliminator. More specifically the number plate holder assembly, which is screwed to the fender. The screws could be found at the bottom of the rear . Just tighten them.
And voila, the sound is gone. It does resurface sometimes, but the frequency is nowhere near what it was before I did the tightening there. I did a high speed/low speed run on the Palm Beach road and checked if I could hear the sound when riding over the rumblers. It did not come, even with the helmet visor open.
This theory would also explain why the sound appears, them becomes more prominent and frequent after decent KMs on the odo.
Sorry for the delay, I just saw your post.
Would it be possible for you to post a pic of the screw you are talking about? I'm finding it tough to visualise which one to tighten.

technology does work but not quite practical in terms of domestic personal use and effeciency.Originally posted by manas1ayan View Post......HHO Generator, Hydrogen Generator - fuel saving using HHO Hydrogen Generator
i am planning to put such product on duke but there are several question like how the system will fit in efi
and its compression ratio is also very high
so some body please help me on this.
secondly it runs on fuel cell technology...quite a new concept yet to be used on big measures....
cars have been made but yet are under advancements...few are running in places with strict emssions norms like California.
secondly it wont increase the octane no of fuel...it will just reduce the ignition delay or the pre-mixed combustion phase might get reduce which in turn will produce good combustion thus eliminating partial oxidation of fuel in combustion chamber....which is caused by high octane petrol so adding hydrogen will not reduce the chemical delay in combustion process but will make it faster....
storage is too hazardous too.....Code:https://www.instagram.com/ankit_himalayas/

The alleged HHO technology isn't fuel-cell, it's introducing dissociated hydrogen and oxygen (via electrolysis) into the intake of an unmodified gasoline internal combustion engine.Originally posted by Ankitvile View Posttechnology does work but not quite practical in terms of domestic personal use and effeciency.

@Nikhil B :
I have attached a pic. The screw location has been indicated in red. The number plate holder screws should also be tightened along with these

Which motul oil are You talking about? Is that mineral or synthetic based, I don't remember seeing any other motul oil with 20w50 grade on their site.Originally posted by The Mountain View PostI will have them replace the oil with Motul 3000
I was trying my best to peep in to the display of the diagnostic tool, but did not get an opportunity to see the error codes. The guy was very quick, the only thing I managed to see was when he cleared all of them. Even I didn't bother to ask the guy if there was something wrong.Originally posted by The Mountain View PostDid you actually repair whatever was causing those error codes, or did you just clear them?

It's this oil: Welcome to Motul[quality]=23&f[range]=21Originally posted by Ri$hi View PostWhich motul oil are You talking about? Is that mineral or synthetic based, I don't remember seeing any other motul oil with 20w50 grade on their site.
It's full-mineral, and is 20W40, but meets all other requirements. Since the owners manual allows for a 10W40-weight oil, there should be no issue (and really, 50-weight is really thick for such a small engine, especially since it's not the middle of summer.ATGATT: All The Gear, All The Time!

the oil he mentioned is a pure mineral oil.Originally posted by Ri$hi View PostWhich motul oil are You talking about? Is that mineral or synthetic based, I don't remember seeing any other motul oil with 20w50 grade on their site.

It's not readily available in most places. I had a tough time looking for it. So I finally settled for SS, Motul 3100 4T 20W50
guess this is not available in India

yaah bro ....bro fuell cells are different...just mixed it up a lil there...was just trying to relate to fuell cell vehicles which in actual employ usage of hydrogen that too in an efficient way. Yepp HHO is different. Agreed...shouldnt b used.Originally posted by The Mountain View PostThe alleged HHO technology isn't fuel-cell, it's introducing dissociated hydrogen and oxygen (via electrolysis) into the intake of an unmodified gasoline internal combustion engine.Code:https://www.instagram.com/ankit_himalayas/

Are revs limited on the Duke200 till first service ?
My Duke 200 is only 400kms old and I have observed that on the go, it do not revs more than 7500 rpms in 6th gear, whereas Duke 200 puts down peak power at 10,000 rpms !!!
So my question is, are the revs somehow limited during the run-in by company ?
Also there is this RPM1 and RPM2 functionality ? How do they help the bike ?Hell's Angel

Does anyone have an idea about the price of Duke 200 brake lines(steel braided). Need Front and rear both.
I'll be visiting the service center this weekend, so just wanted an idea so that I can decide to pickup 1 or both together.
Also..are they readily available at service centers or on order basis only?Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
