Great find man. You made my day. I will hammer KTM india again. This is disgraceful, if they aren't aware or ignoring 2nd customers, shame man. You have rekindled my duke fever.Originally posted by s1d View PostNot sure if this has been posted earlier or if anyone has come across this.. see the pic attached. I was just browsing thru the ktm site and came across this KTM FAQs regarding warranty.
even though this is technically from the ktm india site, i wonder what made them officially decline warranty if the bike was maintained/serviced as recommended. Well in India, most of the times its like, we buy the bike and are taken for a ride too

Umm.. give it a try. from what i see and experience around with the 'customer service/satisfaction' scenario here in India , my guess is that they are going to call this another 'typo' from their part or say something like 'saaar that's not for India saar'
.. and probably remove that content from the site
Lets see if ktm/bajaj can set an example otherwise! fingers crossed.

Low Battery Warning
Guys..
Got a Low Battery Warning on the digital console yesterday night while riding back home from office. It stayed on for about 15 mins. During that time, the avg speed reading and others are not displayed. The console only displays the Low battery warning in that particular area of the screen. The warning was gone after a while and I had no problems after that.
Did anyone else encounter this problem? Are there any DIYs to fix the issue or Should I take the Bike to the Service centre?
Thanks...Last edited by ViperSting; 08-28-2012, 11:22 AM.

Pazzo Levers
Does anyone know if PerformanceRacing will be stocking Pazzo levers that fit the Duke?
ETA: Never mind; Pazzo doesn't make levers to fit (yet). I sent them a contact about it, so we'll see.Last edited by The Mountain; 08-28-2012, 11:33 AM.ATGATT: All The Gear, All The Time!

How frequent and long you drive you bike daily ? If its is very short or rare and that too in night. There is no wonder your battery is shown low.Originally posted by ViperSting View PostGuys..

If you are using for a normal daily rides, then get the charging unit checked and make sure the voltage output is optimal for the battery charging. Also ask them to charge your battery manually once.
Since, you said there is no problems now the battery charging unit should not be an issue. Get it checked if it happens again !!!

Pardon my ignorance but how do these aftermarket levers help?Originally posted by The Mountain View PostDoes anyone know if PerformanceRacing will be stocking Pazzo levers that fit the Duke?

Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Couple of reasons: One, aftermarket levers are (usually) adjustable, so you can set them closer or further away from the grip, depending on the size of your hand. Second, they are aluminum, so they are made in a more hand-friendly shape. Third, most aftermarket levers can be had in a couple of different lengths, so you can get a full-length clutch lever to get maximum leverage on the cable-operated clutch, and get a "shorty" brake lever so your throttle hand isn't crowded by the lever, and also, as many have already discovered, the Duke has a real front brake, so you generally only need two fingers to apply sufficient force to stop the bike, even in emergency situations.Originally posted by antz.bin View PostPardon my ignorance but how do these aftermarket levers help?
And, for those who care about form over function, they do look better than the stock levers.
Here's a set on a 690 Duke:

Motul for KTM Duke!!!
I just bought the Duke back to KTM (also Kathmandu) and now i want to use Motul but i am confused with its variety of products. Previously i was thinking to use 5100 10W40 but i need concrete suggestion. The Duke aims to complete the first 1000Kms this Friday (31.AUG.2012) and currently its on factory engine oils. Can anyone suggest me on this. Thanks

Many of us are using motul 7100 20w50 after first service and the bile is running fine.Theres also motul 300v, which os tad expensive than motul 7100.IMHO, bajaj oil is crappy enough to give a nice run in in 1000 kms.Motorcycling heals, big time...

Any idea which NGK Iridium spark plug model number fits the KTM 200 Duke? I read that the 125 KTM DUKE used the NGK BR9EIX and it even states that it is compatible with the 125 DUKE on this link...
NGK BR9EIX PERFORMANCE SPARK PLUG 3981 KTM LC 125 >85 | eBay
So could it fit the KTM 200 DUKE is the question?Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.
