Warning: Please dont believe what is mentioned in the above post. The person is exaggerating.

Just Kidding, have done nothing much just varied a few parameters slightly, where the need felt and still checking out the stuff(maps).
The RD box is pretty well made(or rather well engineered is should I say) and can be customized to every riders needs.
The computer software initially gave some problems but it was due to our mistakes, which later on worked fine.

Also the tuning software seems to be in beta stages, but does the basics properly with only a few shortcuts missing.
With an air filter and tuned exhaust with limiter removed this thing might become a real threat to it elder brother.

Edit: just saw an update of fb that joel has finished a 230cc big bore for ktm.
    better things are coming soon.

I will rather ride a slow bike fast than riding a fast bike slow.

The duke's tires sucks...had 10 punctures in the last 2 days..!!
WTF...apparently 5 of them were because of tiny glass pieces..
Has anyone done any special treatment on their tires to make them puncture resistant??

I saw motul tire sealant at a shop once. It is put in the tire through the air filling nozzle and it seals the punctures from the inside. Costed somewhere around 500. I haven't had a puncture so far. How old are your tires?

Actually I saw it a probikers in mg road. I'm not sure if it was genuine as most of the stuff this guy sells is fake. You can always check the motul site and maybe order it online from a couple of sites like ********* too

              Hi guys,

Need review on HID installed on Duke from experienced Dukers.
              1. reliability? as I do plenty of long rides, don't want to be stranded with fried electrical and stranded bike.
              2. Improvement on high beam throw on highway.
              3. Wether to go for HID-Halogen setup OR HID hi/low setup in H4 type bulb.

Planning to go for H4 4300K 35W HID kit without projector. still to find where to buy them in pune.

              Thanks in advance.

I too would like to know the same as i want to upgrade the headlights on my D390. Also has anyone tried using a 100/90w halogen bulb ?. Im guessing that if its possible on the D200 then it wouldn't be a problem on D390. Then again the 390 has additional load on the electricals with the ABS.
I bought the Ninja 250R !!.....And then i woke up :(

Hi guys, greetings. My duke has his 2nd service scheduled on 7th of this month. I have read a lot of posts regarding oil. Most of them prefer motul 7100 and 300v and most of them has said its good. But yesterday I saw an elf 4xt full synthetic oil. I asked the shop guy about it and he told me that its better than motul. He said it reduces vibration and told me that it will also give slight improvement in mileage. I want to know if anyone has used this oil before and your opinion. Which is better? Motul or elf?

Yes buddy the duke's tyre really sucks. You know what it doesn't have enough grip (the rear one) and its not good for cornering. Rainy days are like hell. I normally ride below 6 during rainy days. The bajaj guys need more profit, so that they have put cheap quality mrf tyres one duke 200. These tyres gets tear like someone has cut it with a blade or something. I have seen many dukes with tear on the tyre. I'm going to change my tyre after 3rd service. And about the puncture/tyre sealent. I doubt if it really works. I have seen my friends using it on their p220 and fz tyres but its of no use. But they haven't used motul. So I cannot tell about motul. The best option is to change the tyres. Try pirelli or Michelin. I know it will be heart breaking to change tyre at these low kms while normally tyre lasts upto 15-20k kms. But there is not other better option for us, I.e duke 200 owners

Spoke to an MRF dealer he told that the bikes come with "B-grade" quality tires from factory and not the best quality ones so they will suffer a lot..
Don't know if that guy was trying to make a sale or is it actually true..
But it's just heart breaking see the little rubber things poking out of the tyres after the puncture repair..
Feels like my duke has lost its virginity..!!!

Is it ok to just ignore a slow puncture..?
And just keep filling but more frequently..??

Don't feel bad. Your duke is in perfect condition. You don't have to worry much. In my personal opinion I would recommend you to change the tyres. Or try to run some more kms. If the puncture is too frequent, then please change the tyre. And what about the road ? Sometimes if the road is too rough it can be the reason of puncture

The bike won't start today after the usual wash session. The red light(may be called the ecu diagnostic light) which usually goes off after ignition would come and go intermittently. And when I tried ignition, engine would sputter and then die.Called up the mech who advised sun bathing the bike for 1 hour . Didn't work. Then realized that the Side stand down warning was shown on the display even in neutral. Called up the engineer who told that the sensor might have gone faulty and might need a replacement. They have promised sending a guy tomorrow to bypass it(using some kind of Jugad socket!!) and then take it to svc where they'll replace the sensor. On asking why the red diagnostic light is blinking, if it's only a side stand sensor issue I was not given a convincing answer and was told that since all the sensors are interrelated, that might happen. Let's see if the issue is resolved tomorrow or if the bike is screwed even more
