Re: KTM 200 Duke
No mate, the quality is indeed good. The hole must have been a result of not securing the bag tight enough.Originally posted by hmunjal View PostHi guys,
I am using velox since last 3 months and not that happy with product.
As we cant use them as a single unit.
I TRIED single unit(both side) and both time damaged bag, once it got into tyre and got a hole.
And after my third ride stiches started to loose
I know it stays close to the tire when straped, but you got to secure the strap tight enough (the strap that goes over the intersection area between rider and pillion seat) thus creating just enough space preventing bag getting in contact with the tire.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
you can only use the left side as a single unit and not the right one. i have used the pair as well as the single unit a few times and never did it touch the tire.Originally posted by hmunjal View PostHi guys,

if it is secured correctly (pull the strap down nice and tight), then it will not rub against anything that would cause damage. The only thing that 'wears' out is that aluminum mounting at the foot peg(where you slide the lower portion of the bag) which loses its sheen and becomes dull due to the bag rubbing.
i have used it quiet a bit and it hasn't given up as yet.
But remember to not overload/stuff the bag (or heavy stuff). if one wants to stuff lots then a bag like the claw would suit their purpose since it does not hang from its mounting points and wouldn't rip off.

it is waterproof to an extent.. if too much water splashes at the rear (the side facing the tires) water does seep in (personal experience)Originally posted by amarendra.ar23 View PostActually I m looking to take it to leh. So need something which is waterproof.
always remember to keep your stuff inside a plastic bag and then inside the velox if riding in rainy weather.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Well... I have to oppose your statement that the duke's brake lacks feedback.. It has ample feed back even when I use my cramster twister.. If you properly apply pressure, you can feel it..Originally posted by Yusha View PostGuys, i'm Any advice?
Should I only change the front and keep the rear?
Also I wouldn't suggest replacing stock until it's absolutely necessary.. The tyre needs to warm up to achieve maximum traction..
Mrfs on the duke are not really that bad..
But if you really worn out your tyre, then it could be an issue..
I agree that mrfs are not extremely grippy but for street and highways and a top whack of 138 for the duke .. I believe that they are good enough..
Ride her slow.. Study her rhythm and then start to dance.. If you understand what I mean.. Take your time and be patient.. You will get a hang of her handling..

S1d ... When I apply my front let's say at 85%, I hear sound like metal to metal contact.. The pad worn out?Originally posted by s1d View PostYou should build your confidence first before blaming the tires.
switching to say metz (or any other tire) will not help you in braking.
Odo is at 10.5 kms..
I recently went to Horsley from chennai and hit a speed breaker at 80 ish speed and now.. My right fork is leaking oil.. How much will they charge to replace the fork oil seal?
Also thinking of getting a navi.. For daily commute.. I don't wanna hurt my baby :P

If you are getting the metallic contact sound it will be the worn out brake pads.. Better remove the pads out of it and check if you have reached the metal part or not.Originally posted by paradoxr9019 View PostS1d ... It's not the km count, but the way you ride and brake causes them to get worn out. I changed mine at 16k kms.
Max rs 1500 for the fork seal replacement. Fyi: till 10k kms the fork seal has warranty.
I think someone pinged me in whatsapp saying that he wanted Kawasaki ER-6N.
