hi, whatever i have read on the net is that they will pack the 350cc engine in the platform that they have used for the 125/200cc duke.Originally posted by devil_rider View PostYes it is said to be the spy pic of D690 but can hope the D350 is close to this in looks.

please check this article, right at the bottom:

it's a bit old and from 2010, but i think they have not changed their strategy.

Yes I remember reading this article too. So does that mean we can just swap the 350cc engine into the chassis and ride??????? IF ONLY!!!!Originally posted by glider99 View Posthi, whatever i have read on the net is that they will pack the 350cc engine in the platform that they have used for the 125/200cc duke.

Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

Just got Duke'd
Took the delivery of the Duke Yesterday at PBK Chennai, just rode the bike for ten kms from showroom.

If thats the case the oil needs to be drained and replaced with mineral based oil. BTW what oil does duke come with factory?Originally posted by TeeJayy View PostThe R15V2.0 comes with SS oil from the factory.
The rim stickers which are available at KTM are they reflective ones or an ordinary one? You can find lot of sticker shops in pudupet or there is one shop in the end GP road where it meets Anna salai.Originally posted by Navaroj View PostChennai members..I have bought the rim sticker from Adyar KTM,but it seems that those guys don't know to fix it.Has any one got sticker from showroom and fixed it outside? If so please suggest the place (sticker shop).Thanks.
Lets plan for a group ride sometime.Originally posted by tecteam View PostI have been following this thread for a long time now.I am new to this forum and I should say all you guys do a wonderful job .I am from chennai and looking forward to connect with other dukers.
I have been using the same helmet for 6 mnths, got it for 2k. I feel that it doesn't go well with my duke, my helmet is red. Planning to go for LS2 crown or I might look at the SOL lids.Originally posted by arunsuresh View PostThe helmet is a LS2 Phobia... costs around 2500-2700 bucks.

1st Test of KTM Duke 200
Hello, just before 1 hr i went to test drive of the new KTM 200 Duke. After 10-15 minute ride, I came on following conclusion :-
1. Great Pick up
2. Good handeling on smooth curves
3. Suspension is a bit uneven or what ever you say, but dosent handle small patches on road as good as the other bike like FZ or CBR
4. Good Sound
5. Seat is a bit stiff - (As I am from Ahmedabad) its to much hot in Summer, I dont find the seat will be comfortable on those summer times.
Correct me if i am wrong any where, also share your thoughts if you have tested or own it !

Guys please suggest me a good helmet which goes well with duke. I am looking for a DOT certified helmet.
Rode the bike only for 10kms from showroom so couldn't comment much, I am using my other bike for commuting.Originally posted by spiralbrain View PostCongratulations Ri$hi! How has the ride been so far?
I found the tyres to be very slippery, I think once its broken in it should be fine.
power, speed, xtra premium or 91 octane anything should be fine.Originally posted by ABikerAtHeart View PostWhat petrol brand Shell or Bharath Petroleum or something else?Last edited by Ri$hi; 03-29-2012, 05:52 PM.

Got the Duke at 17.30 today. Odo reading was 12.1 only. Rode the bike to get the number plate stickerting, to the temple for pooja, to show it to my relatives and then to work. All in all covered about another 50 kms.
Saw a minor scratch in the front wheel alloy near the tire. Will a small scratch be covered under warranty ? I don't think it's a problem, still they should have handled the bike properly. Saw this once I came back home.
The first thing I noticed is the Power and the itch to rev it hard. The temptation is irresistable. Don't know how I am going to manage a 1000 km run in under 60kmph and 7500rpm
The major thing I noticed is the Cooling down of the Engine. I know the engine heats up a lot unlike other bikes, however I thought once the radiator kicks in the heat should dissipate.
After riding it for like 20 kms the Temperature indicator is One bar below the "H" box. The radiator fan runs, yet the temperature doesn't seem to go down. The engine is not getting cooled. Is anyone else facing this issue. I am scared to drive this for a longer duration. The maximum time the engine was ON fully was about 15 mins and I didn't red line it much .. still, the engine is not cooling down.. Is the cool down process slow ? Would appreciate your experiences on this. If this is not normal, have to take it back to the ASC.
The bike is a city commuter for sure... it can easily navigate the traffice with ease..I am amazed by the control in this bike... All in all an amazing bike and I love it..
Now to christen it.. FireBlade "The Blade"
.. does this suit the Duke ?

Sure Rishi.. that'll be great...Originally posted by Ri$hi View Post....Lets plan for a group ride sometime....
I got an LS2 Crown Model # FF351-7 Size XL from a shop in GP Road for INR 2500. The other shops quote 2800, if you bargain I guess he should go down to a couple of hundreds less than 2500.
