Recently I've posted about an issue of muffled sound in my 3 months old D200 which ran only 3k km on the odo.At the SVC,they said that it had some problem in the valve clearance (or shims) and the engine head assembly is replaced under warranty .I still have the valve sound (tick-tick) on deceleration and my D200 still doesn't sound upto the mark (doesn't have that usual beat in it's sound) with a slight lag in the acceleration sometimes. The SVC guy said that the valve noise would disappear after 300km but it seems to increase. How else should I deal with this problem?Should I ask for a replacement? (They had my bike at the SVC for nearly a month and still didn't rectify the issue completely)Being a rookie,I need some advice from the other experienced people here.
          P.S I've driven around 280km now,20km more to the 300km mark.

You would not believe how many SVC mechanics can't even adjust tappets properly. Send a complaint to KTM, because a head replacement should not take over a month.

Anybody tried any clutch mod on the 200 Duke, clutch is hard and causes pain in the wrist in traffic.
There is something I found online, called "Easy pull clutch" anybody tried it? Products - Midwest Mountain Engineering
I also saw a video on YouTube regarding a hydraulic clutch setup for D390, which should work with 200 Duke too, I think.
Custom designed and fabricated Slave Cylinder for conversion of Cable operated clutch to a Hydraulic system for my KTM 390 Duke.Preliminary testing of the Hy...

Already complained and I got my duke in the next two days. The thing that worries me is that the tick-tick valve sound still exists even after a head replacement and gets worse over time. It's like they had all the required time (more than 25 days) and I didn't get my problem completely resolved, that too for a 3 months old (only first service done) Duke.If the problem is never resolved, can I claim a replacement? Will that even be possible?

I had a similar problem with my duke when i bought it two yrs back... After lots of nagging, they finally replaced something called the "gas kit" alongwith the head which they said was causing the problem... The noise hasn't ever come to what a normal duke sounds like but it did solve the lag in acceleration issue. Haven't faced absolutely any problems with that since and it's been 20,000km since the replacement... So ask for the gas kit replacement... I'm not too sure what it is exactly, maybe one of our gurus here can explain... But hopefully it should solve it problem.,. Best of luck

Are you sure that it was gas kit or gasket??
Because I haven't heard anything called as a gas kit..

Well, gasket, the part in question is a small metal gasket. Just some packing to prevent oil/air leaking from metal joints. Every time the head is opened, you have to replace the gasket. Tic tic sound is from loose tappets and adjusting them would fix it easily. I know, as I've fixed many Dukes before.
I developed a kind of respect among Duke owners here in my place as the Duke guru. I've fixed a few issues which even SVC could not resolve.

And he could not email me the one copy he had on computer.. So I just took a pic of the screen so that you guys can check it out..
