I have 5 PUNCTURES right now on my 200 and still dont do anything about it but pressure up every time i fuel up! I just plugged up one puncture yesterday after getting sick of the loosing pressure every day. I am also really tired of plugging up these puncture as the MRF's extremely prone to punctures!

I have a puncture kit that bought in a local auto spares shop for 200Rs which will help you a lot if you are planning on long rides.I suggest you look for an alternative by the time this tyre is out!

    - Things like the gap between your seat and tank( some bikes have issues in assembly and hence a friend got the enter tank and seat replaced because of the odd large gap where the tank mounting screws can be seen in the gap)
    - Check coolant levels and Brake fluid levels! (Yes i have seen bikes delivered with coolant levels at min)
    - Check the free play on the accelerator cable (seems like the people at the dealerships don't care about it and most bikes have a lot of free play and they actually tell you that it is exactly how it is supposed to be! really loose with a lot of free play!??)
    - Same with the chain as well (they don't seem to be bothered with unhealthy slack in the chain when delivered!) Check for too much slack .
    - Try and push the dealership to give you freebies (insist over and over again, my friend got a free pair of new KTM sticker/graphics kit)
if not ask them to put you up with a good amount of fuel at-least.
    - If you hear any odd noises while riding for the first few hours please inform the dealership about it and take it back/ get checked(Take it for a test ride before you take it home).

PLEASE BE A RESPONSIBLE RIDER and DON'T PULL OUT THE SIDE MIRRORS TO MAKE IT COOL as soon as you get hold of the bike.
Thanks a lot.. a couple questions tho..

    - Regarding the puncture, Should I change my new 200's tyres to Metz at the time of delivery?
    - What is the free play at accelerator? Is it the initial no-force/no-pressure/no-resistance zone when twisting the accelerator? the initial few mm of twist that is free and loose.. is that what you are talking about?
    - Freebies? They are not even budging to reduce the price, those guys are all tough and I think they are all in it together..!! Maybe I'll ask for some fuel and hopefully they agree to it..
    - What's the mileage you get for the 200? I plan to use it in city only!! rarely I go highway.. maybe once in 6 months to 1 year.. but a reliable all-weather bike..

Dont change the tyres initially, try em out with an open mind for a few months and then decide on what you want.

Few mm? How many is the question here?

The dealer's will not reduce the price cause its policy but will offer small freebies like the graphics kit if you push them.

I get around 30-32 on an average but have had 27-30 at times depending on the conditions.

OMG 30-32?? I was actually thinking around 38-40.. I drive on city conditions.. Okay, I work the night shift & so I'll be going to office in the evening around 5-6.. and come home early in the morning at 5.30-6.30.. Hopefully I should get good mileage.. else this won't make much difference between the 390 I guess..

I just saw some youtube videos and understood what the free-play is.. like I said, the loose and free initial part when giving acceleration.. so that should be tight but youtube videos shows that we can adjust that one.. just tighten a nut and bingo..

A quick guide on how to correctly adjust your off road motorcycle throttle cable. Brought to you by the guys behind Allmoto-Online.com

30-32 is an average, you can squeeze out a little more if you play nice! But 38 should not be on your mind unless you have empty roads allowing for very little braking and gear change.

Well, I think I can manage to do that coz halfway it's complete traffic, however the other half is pretty smooth if I choose my path wisely..

While coming back home, early morning, so yeah.. it's going to be pretty clear.. Hope I get some good mileage..

And anything else that I should keep in mind while I pick the babe duke?

Overall fit and finish, Scratches and dents. Nothing much. Most of all respect the bike and the power, however small or big bike it is. I have seen tons of 200s and 390s in the SVC completely totaled because of negligent driving most of the times.

I agree to the point.. One must drive properly else any bike will go kaput..

Yeah, but they won't drill the mud guard (at least at B'lore Indiranagar KTM). We need to do it ourself outside.

                          Hi friends,

Just wanted to know which is better for the Tyres..
I recently met a guy who fills his tyre using Nitrogen, while I am using normal air..

                          My questions:
So, which is better? Nitrogen or normal air !!! ??
Advantages and disadvantages in filling up with Nitrogen?

                          Thank you

It depends what you prefer, because filling nitrogen in tyres is good as it keeps tyre temp cool and doesn't expands so pressure remains constant as air expands if there is rise in temprature

Like how will it perform on bumpy and gutter roads..
