      yes...but the Bajaj synthetic oil is also the stock oil in ASC's...

      Motul 7100 FS & Bajaj Dtsi 10000(something like that)...

        Yeah I saw Bajaj oil and believe me it should be called parachute coconut oil. Motul however is default for ktm's.
        Make sure to go to an svc that is exclusively for ktm and Kawasaki. And stand by your bike while its being serviced and the svc guys can't fool you.

          2) now i have to spend 1.5k on motul even though it's stock :-(
          3) I'm thinking of adding an abs.possibility and your views ?

            1) you don't have to ask permission to stand next to your bike in svc. Its your right. As long as you don't hinder their work.
            2)spend the money. Motul is way better than that dabur amla oil that Bajaj produces.
            3)ABS, possibility yes. Costs about 10-15k INR but not sure. You'll need to change rear disc plate on older d200's new ones don't need this. ABS helps if you are a rider who prefers to ride steadily but is utterly useless if you like to ride in full racing mode. Also change speedo and get the ABS off switch if you're going for it.
            For me personally its too much of a hassle and too many mods to the bike.

              Retrofitting ABS is a very tedious & expensive job... also the ABS will not function as efficient as a factory fitted ABS system...

                Actually its just really costly and tedious but otherwise its pretty much a direct fit in fact. Only the connection to ecu has to be figured out for the electronic traction control. You can just rip it off of a 390 and fit it. The only problem is that the ABS is configured to the 390 spec, optimizing it to a 200 requires wiring modification. This bike has everything from Bosch and so it all links to the ecu for centralized control. That means mods and that means one must have a new wiring kit, new ecu, and new calippers handy in case it all goes south.

                  I am interested in ABS as long it works perfectly(in next year).
                  I am very afraid of panick braking as I met with 2 falls on my CD 100.
                  Luckily nothing on duke till now.

                        Retro fitting abs is not advisable unless ktm themselves offer such a addon/conversion here in india. The d200 comes with abs in the UK market, so technically the parts are available, but executing the job correctly is important.
                        Just take you bike out everyday early morning to an isolated stretch of road and practice braking. The d200 can be controlled 75% of the time with just the front brakes on dry tarmac.. on the wet and dusty/gravel roads you would need to be careful and use more of the rear brake. And remember to maintain the correct tire pressures, maybe +2 psi but nothing more.

                          Fitting ABS is another story. The price of just the ABS sensors with wires and feedback hoses is 15-20k bro. But to be able to use it you'll have to shell exactly the amount of money over the price of the bike that could very well buy you a d390.

                            Learn to break without abs mate, it is very important, do not always depend on electronics to save you. It is part of getting to know the bike you are riding, getting familiar to its limits.

                              Why don't you just get the metzeler tyres instead. I can bet it'll be way cheaper and it'll offer better grip during hard braking. Trust me its better to do this than to get ABS retro fit.

                                Better to change to Michelin Pilot Street Radial tyres...
                                8000kms done with these...and take my word...these are really awesome set of tyres...

                                dry grip,wet grip, grip on graveled roads, is just exceptional...
                                braking also has improved a lot... fish tailing while applying the rear brake is gone...
                                yes... Metzelers have better grip... but their tyre life is poor & they cost a bomb...

                                Frankly speaking...the Michelin PSR tyres are a must upgrade for any D200 user...
