The things which I had trouble with- The RVM is broader than the handle bar.
- Hard seat, I had to stand on the foot pegs just few inches from the seat for every few kms.
- The hand grip is too small to grab. At one point of time my fingers got stuck in the curled position and had trouble straightening. The grip has tiny thorn like protrusions, but as I was using a glove didn't find much of a concern.
- Horn is not much of a use and it is a let down, the exhaust sound out-performs the horn sound.
- Scary at 80 km/h and above due to wind blast.
- While waiting in the signal when the engine is shut off, takes time to start again. So I let the engine idle or started well in advance.
- While taking off from stand still with the right leg on the ground can feel the exhaust on the leg.
- Trouble shifting from second to first and neutral while the engine is idling. Need more pressure.
Whoah!! A lot of problems buddy...
But all are small niggles...which you'll overcome after getting used to it..
At first, even I was not comfortable with the engine braking and the seating position...but now I'm very much comfortable with both

Red Oil Light?
Hi Guys,
Got my duke delivered yesterday.
The service center guys in Bangalore were very friendly, explained me all the basics of the bike.
The ODO was just 4 km., had 2 liters of petrol stocked.
Have ridden about 60 kms till now, the red light (left to the shift light) turns on often at traffic signals just before starting , and goes off after a while. But this doesn't happen all the time.
I read the manual and it says if the red light is on, might be a safety critical fault.
The service center is closed today , what to do? is it normal ?

It is normal for the red light to be on when the engine is not running, the warning lamp is for engine oil pressure.Originally posted by harshag26 View Postthe red light (left to the shift light) turns on often at traffic signals just before starting , and goes off after a while. Guys some questions
Can D200 be used for touring with pillion??
Can a female with traditional indian wear sit on the pillion seat comfortably?
In short is the pillion seat comfortable?
I have asked the same thing in R15 2.0 thread and answer was no to all the above question. I am looking for a reliable performance bike but pillion should feel comfy.

The answer would be no here as well. Pillion seat is nowhere close to be called as comfortable. I would also say, touring with pillion is out of question on Duke as it will be way too difficult accommodate luggage for 2 and a pillion. Both rider and pillion must be super humans to tour on thisOriginally posted by amandeepkamboj19 View PostGuys some questions

YMMV, but I know someone with an R15 (v1) and the Duke, who commutes regularly with his wife. From what he has told me, his wife prefers the R15. The Duke pillion seat is pretty high up comparitively, and not very sari-friendly. It is not very often that performance + pillion comfort are found in the same package. I do not think the Duke is comfortable for extended periods for a pillion. Just my opinion though.Originally posted by amandeepkamboj19 View PostGuys some questions

Thank you very much guys.
This is very much true performance + pillion comfort is very rare thing in sporty bikes. High pillion seat gives very aggressive look to the bike.
My GF will kill me for uncomfortable pillion seat. I currently have RE Thunderbird.
I think R15 2.0 and D200 are not for me.
But both these bikes are my first preference.
Now i have only one option left ie CBR250R.
I hope i do not regret my decision.

Can I just say something here??? if your one of the primary objective is pillion comfort, then go buy a Bullet Classic. PeriodOriginally posted by amandeepkamboj19 View PostGuys some questions

None of the Bikes, i.e., Duke, P220, R15, CBR250 will have that level of comfort level which a Bullet has."HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic

Prioritize all your requirements before you decide and go for what your heart says. You can't go wrong with any of these machines.

OT: Why does a Bullet guy wants to go for CBR250!!! Why aren't you considering Bullet Classic 500!!!??Originally posted by amandeepkamboj19 View PostThank you very much guys.
