              • I picked up the oil, will be getting the first service done tomorrow. I already had the chain lube with me, gonna carry that to the service centre.

When I went to the PBK today saw the duke and N250r with xbhp stickering and it was being serviced.

                • One of our fellow Duke'r found another interesting thing.. he was checking the tool box - used the allan key to tighten the tank cap bolts and found almost 3 or 4 of them just turning away to glory - not tightening, not loosening - but going round and round. Anybody else tried this? I got to know of this after I left home in my car (cause of possible rain in Bangalore)

When I used the allen keys provided with the tool kit to remove the tyre hugger experienced the same. One needs to rotate it several times to unscrew it.

Did you try the allan bolts on the tank?

                        • It's been over a fortnight since I got my duke n the odo clocks ~660kms now...

Got a hang of the gear shift pedal and maintained the speed under 80 max90 with rpm never crossing 7.5k

Thanks to all ya guys I was able to do some basic stuffs like filling the coolant and checking clutch free play (spl thx to venkat)

However, I would visit the pbk center tomorrow to lube n clean my noisy chain and recheck the coolant and rear disc oil levels. To b on the safer end I'd also get my clutch/ shift pedal checked as I feel it's still hard

Yesterday on my way back home from office... I was slowing Down on a sudden signal ... There was a piece of wet cover on a watery road ... When Applied brake, even at just 30 kph the bike wobbled like crazy... ABS would have been a better choice I thought but it does well on sand and gravel ... I usually use both front and rear together and got acquainted with em though...

I also noticed some loose plastic parts making noise... I could not pin point where but I just heard each time I make way through a pothole / bumper... How do I check on this??? And before service is it possible to get the battery checked???

                          Thanks fellow dukers!!!

PS - M planning to go on a road trip tomorrow, if none comes would even go alone ... want to munch some miles on my baby duke ... better way to get acquainted to its ergonomics off traffic in the city... Any 1 care to join ;-) I ll probably be at adayar PBK after 930 -10 AM... and would roam till evening 6-7

I found it difficult to unscrew them as well. My problem was that the one of the screw's top wasn't properly fitting into the Allen key, had to chip some stuff away before I could unscrew it.

Apart from that, the poistioning of the screw near the chain was a bother. Took me about an hour to remove it. Wonder how long it'll take for me to put it back in. Planning to put it back in about a week's time.
