Re: KTM 200 Duke
Duke's chain set was a direct fit on one of P220s in our group. So the mounting points should be same. Will sure get this done during second service. I am not a fan of huge top end anyways.Originally posted by DukeDey View PostStreet racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Sorry guys but the D200 front sprocket does not match the 390's. The main shaft design is different. This was one of the first things I looked into after getting the 390.Originally posted by DukeDey View PostWhy not a smaller front? The duke 200's 14t would be a direct fit and would give you a difference of roughly around 3 teeth at the rear. This would be the most wallet friendly way to undergear the bike as finding a rear oem sprocket that is bigger than 390's(45 is already very big) is going to be a tough job and if you go for a custom sprocket it'll burn a hole in your pocket, also a rear sprocket upgrade would need a bigger chain.

Ridding the 390 in traffic and shitty roads with stock gearing is a pain. Will have to look to Ebay.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
I might be able to help you. What is the shaft like? Is it bigger, or are the grooves on the shaft wider or slimmer?Originally posted by Buro View PostSorry guys but the D200 front sprocket does not match the 390's. The main shaft design is different. Took a test ride of D390 today and I too felt it could have done with a bit more low end torque.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Thanks a lot man, this would definitely help a lot of guys.Originally posted by Buro View PostThis is the milling used in the 390.
The 200 milling, same as the p220.
If you are able to find a 14t replacement for the 390 keep us posted. I really want one.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
No problem, Iv got a friend in the U.K and will probably get him to send one to me. Something I found while searching for the sprocket is a bit confusing, on all the foreign sites advertising sprockets for the Duke 125/200/390/690 all showed the same milling and fitment. Are the Indian production models somewhat inferior to the ones being exported ?

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Do confirm this before you get yourself a sprocket. Best would be to check it on your owm bike and match it with the pic.Originally posted by Buro View PostNo problem, Iv got a friend in the U.K and will probably get him to send one to me. Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hi, I was wondering if :
1) anybody has upgraded the D200 with ABS, is it possible ? heard that the new D200s have option of ABS. Mine seem to have the provision to fit one.
2) Also what would be a good location to fit a cigarette lighter socket for connecting GPS or Mobile charger? will it harm the battery during run?
thanks

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Came back yesterday from a weekend at Kari Motor Speedway. Had a mega fun time. I thought MRF tyres would be pretty bad for the track (and was planning to get them swapped out for Metzelers) but they were easily good enough for my current skill level and I was regularly scraping shoes and footpegs at every other corner. So, anyone looking to get Metzeler tyres for the bike, I can confirm that you really don't need them for dry roads at least. Rode the bike in bone stock condition (with tyre hugger and saree guard no less
). I had no trouble keeping up with race-spec R15s on the track and @sonu611 was even faster.
On a sidenote I had installed the racechrono app on my phone to log my on-track data, but I chickened out thinking i'll wreck my (quite new HTC One) phone if I were to have a crash. But then just before my last session out, I figured that I could strap my phone securely in the underseat compartment, where the toolkit is strapped by default. Something to keep in mind for anyone planning to do a trackday on the Duke.
Some of the data from my last session (stock bike, 100kg rider, first trackday experience) :
Best Lap : 1:31:27
Optimal Lap : 1:29:79
Top Speed : 129.3 kph
Max Lateral Acceleration : 2.34GLast edited by dishayu; 10-22-2013, 03:24 PM.Bajaj Pulsar 150 : 2004-2005
Honda Dio : 2005-2012

Re: Duke 200
So... After a long time I came back to thread and covered the posts from where I left.
So much of arguments on their technical "Knowledge", but most of the times it was like Quantum physics for me.
So to give some relief from the technical part, I thought of bringing you guys back to the visuals.
I already posted the same in FB, but couldn't able to resist to post them here. Sorry for the poor quality of Images.
Please enjoy the new Avatar of my bike.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Belated reply : Actually Goa means only a place of revelry for most I'd imagine. So studying there should be difficult no with so many distraction.Originally posted by Evander_F View PostYes, I'm a Goan and I study. Didnt quite understand what you meant by "how you manage to study in Goa?".
Sadly we dont have McDonalds over here, the closest one is in Kolhapur. The destination doesnt matter, the journey matters more.
One a side note, i just received my new Rolon chainset with 42T sprocket. Will update you guys about it later.
But now that I think of it, Goans don't really look at Goa in the unidimensional way we do!The hero always RIDES into the sunset!
