Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences
But it looks dangerous and accident prone to me. It is very close to road.Originally posted by Kush Kurkalang View PostSeems good.
In fact any motorcycle that have rear disks have a completely different setup. The drive chain is on the opposite side and disc is bolted on other side. On my existing motorcycle it's the same as well as on Himalayan.Last edited by abkumar; 06-03-2016, 09:06 AM.

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences
Hey guys! My friend owns a classic 350 which was stored for a year. Now he has started riding it after a regular service. But the problem is whenever the throttle is opened, it jerks and then pulls along. Checked the afr, adjusted it but no improvements. What might be the issue here?

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences
Hello there,
Just a small query..is there any difference between the chassis for old bullets compared to the new one?
The reason why i am asking is because,i have a 1997 model bullet stored and planning to restore it with new model parts( the rear end mostly, with tired, wheels, mudguard, seats)
Would it be possible to just purchase and fix it or is there any mod to be done in order to do so? As in swing arm extension or something?
I am from kerala, kollam district to be precise and it would be really helpful if someone can pen down a mechanic name who can do solid paint jobs and mechanical works.
Reposting here from help me section as no help received :-D
Thanks
Mibin :-)

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences
Hi Guys,
I am a proud owner of a CL 350, Chestnut for 2 months now. Been an amazing experience upgrading from an Honda Activa
. Clocked 1200 on the Odo, got my first servicing done on 670 kms. Rode at 45 km MAX throughout the whole period till the service as advised by many friends.
Now that I'm done with the 1st servicing, facing an issue with handle bar vibrations reaching 50 kmph till 60 kmph, and it later stabilizes a bit once I cross 60 but still uncomfortable as the left hand is already numb.
The service station at Mahim, Mumbai was not helpful at all as is a tried and tested practise of theirs, Changed the handlebar a week back expecting some change (RD extended), feel some difference from the stock handlebar, but the problem still persists at a low intensity though.
Would be appreciated if any one can share some insight on how to get rid of this niggle and enjoy the RE experience to the fullest.

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences
Firstly congrats on your possesion. Its usual to have vibes on the RE at speeds from 40-60 and it vanishes between 60-80 and creeps back on once you ride past 85. I would suggest to add weights to the end of the bars to counter the vibes or make the handle bar heavier. Or replace it with a heavier bar.Originally posted by miltano View PostWould be appreciated if any one can share some insight on how to get rid of this niggle and enjoy the RE experience to the fullest.R15S - Current

Thank You, TheArcher84. Will try this out and cross my fingers for it to reduce it to a bare minimum.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostFirstly congrats on your possesion. Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences
Hi,
Last week i had given my bike for service, at 9700 Kms, at RE brand showroom's SVC at Coimbatore.
however the mechanic called me up and said that the rear sprocket seem to have lost 1 teeth(or some issue was there with the rear sprocket...), and that i should replace my entire sprocket kit(2 sprockets and chain), which will cost around me 2K for this one alone. Since i am tight on budget this month, i asked if the sprockets and chain are still in running condition for which he replied yes, it is. So i asked him not to replace the sprocket set for now,and just the service is needed this time.
however once after servicing, i inspected for the rear sprocket and i couldn't see any issues with my rear sprocket.
My question is :- "do you guys have had an experience with bad sprocket/ chain due to which you had to change them ? IF yes, how did you identify that you had a problem ? "
cheers
Nitish

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences
Hi Nithish
Just rotate the rear wheel and check whether all the teeth edges of that rear sprocket is intact. Mostly the edges gets cut and become blunt due to the usage. Your 9k km won't warrant replacement of chain and sprocket this quick, until unless you handled your bike very roughly. In my case, when I saw for the first time one or two edges got chewed slightly, I just continued riding normally. After some 3k to 5k kms running 5 to 7 teeth edges became blunt. In that condition I got much more vibrations in bike mainly in handlebar. Then my average mileage got reduced say some 4-5kms (during this I mostly ridden in city conditions). So immediately then I got it replaced, two sprockets and chain. It costed me approximately 1600 I think, so please double check with your service center. For you One or two edges getting chewed slightly won't matter(IMO), so continue riding without worrying.
