The problem that I am facing is that the bike is struggling to even reach 95-100 km/h. In the old setting it used to touch at the same RPM 115km/h. Please advise me a change of front or rear sprocket to bring back to former glory. Kindly advise.

Look at this thread, read it carefully. You can increase the front sprocket size to a teeth or two more for better top end, albeit with the loss of low end.

But this thread will give you some insight.

Just now finished changing the 15T sprocket. Sorry could not take the photos. Initial test run - I could feel the decrease in initial acceleration. The bike is back to the stock pickup when I have purchased the bike. I love this power not too jerky. I will go on a 80 Kms trip tomorrow. Will update on the top speed. Thanks for the transforming my baby to stock.

The ride was pleasant. There was an increase in the high speed. Could touch 111 km/h. I took only one photo before removing the 14T.

I love the low torque not too punchy and apt for normal riding. Overall I am a happy man. Thanks.

I once changed my friend's Fazer front sprocket to 15T and experienced loss of acceleration(stock tyres). Are you happy with 15T in terms of acceleration (not top speed)? Also the top speed on stock tyres and sprockets is atleast 115kmph, I once reached 119kmph. I am not considering speedo errors as the bike under discussion is same.

On my 1st Gen Unicorn the stock tyre was 3.00-18 and I was using 15T-43T.
I had changed the tyre to Sirac Street 100-90 and experienced loss of acceleration. So to compensate that I had changed to 14T-43T and regained the acceleration, but my top speed was affected badly(90kmph).
So I changed the sprockets to 14T-38T and everything is fantastic now.

Anybody What is the geometry and physics behind this?

@sadeepcf - I love the stock power and Top speed. I have reached 115 kms on my stock setup. But when I changed my tyres to PSD 130/80-17 and with stock sprocket. The initial acceleration was spunky. But the top speed was only 95kms max. I did not want to sacrifice my top speed for more acceleration as I do more of highway cruising. Hence when I changed my stock 14T to 15T. I regained the stock pickup and top speed. That is why I am a happy man. I think If you increase the height of the bike by changing to a taller tyre it is equivalent to using a more teethed big sprocket at the rear. Hence ur top speed will decrease but ur acceleration will go up. Experts please correct me if I am wrong.

                    Cheers

Don't forget to consider the tire traction factor and the contact patch is different when tires get bigger and more power equals more bigger tires.

Friction loss is one of the reasons here if you look closely.

Finding the right sprocket for any bike apart from stock is always a matter of intrigue and DIY.

                      Cheers!

Now to harness a similar power and speed characteristics using parts and resources in India, what would my ideal sprocketing be? and I intend to buy a new OE front 13T due to compatibility issues on the drive shaft. And i'd like to use a 17'' rear rim and tire like one on a FZ16, so what would be the equivalent rear sprocket size i should use? and is that size available in india?
rear sprocket-to-hub fitting is not a problem as i can get some machining done.

And i dont mind cutting down on the acceleration and getting more top end as it is a wheelie loving bike
Here are some pics of the existing setup (yeah, they are friggin worn out!!)

This is the main reason i want to change the stock one with 52T. i am currently porting Pulsar (Model- 2006)

Your help on this issue would by highly appreciated

I think you've read the first few pages and would know how to use sprockets wisely.

If you want to modify your chain try Diamond other than Rolon they are very good.

Mate changing to bigger diameter tyre will be overgearing it,it will be having the effect of lesser teeth on rear sprocket, top speed will decrease because bike will not pull hard in taller tyred/geared bike.
