    With respect to rear sprockets

    P180 is 43
    Unicorn's is 43
    Duke is 43

I guess the 200 NS sprocket is 14/39 and the R15s V1 is 14/42 and regarding holes try drilling holes if you can, most people have tried using custom sprockets, meaning drilled by themselves.

I have one weak memory as to the holes, but you can check with an R15 nearby.

    Cheers!

I think they both should be 4 holed ones, but the pitch Gotta check, but will let you know if I get to know anything interesting.

          Pulsar 180 UG4 chain pitch is .520
          Unicorn I think it's .428.

            Hello All,

Need to change the chain-sprocket set in my CBZ*. It has crossed the allowed lifespan and using from 1000 KMS after cutting 2 links.

Searching for a O ring chain. Stock : 14/46/128 links
Just checked the RTR 180 kit which is 14/46/130 links

Please anyone confirm if I can fit the sprocket of RTR 180 to my bike

            Thank you

Yes it can be used, just reduce the links, but not so much so that it gets tightened so much.

Just checked the bolt size for rear sprocket, My CBZ* has spanner no:17 and RTR 160 has no:14
So I guess RTR180 too has same No:14 Bolt.

Damn, I cannot use the "O" ring chain-sprocket set from RTR 180 then, So any ideas for replacement chain-sprocket

May go to HH and get the new set of CBZ* by evening.

Sprocket isn't a part of chain, but one is useless without another. Sprocket is the one that is round and has teeth and the chain goes on top of it, which in turn rotates the wheel. Without chain, sprocket is unless and vice versa. More like electricity and your TV.

Sealed chains are way better than O ring, and O rings are used in open chains because to protect them for dirt and grime. Whereas in a sealed chain compartment, the chain is absolutely free from any dirt and grime, so no need for a costly O ring chain. But practically both the chains are of same strength, it's just that the use differentiates.

                        Cheers!

                          Hello VJ,

                          Thanks for advice.
But the problem is I have removed my chain guard from bike since 2 years after installing Michelin M45(4.00*18) as the tyre was rubbing against it.
So looking for a "O" ring chain and almost zeroed in for RTR 180 set and then found out it will not match.

So is it OK to just put plastic chain guard from other bikes with the sealed chain(OEM for CBZ*)
Also suggest which bike's plastic guard will match my bike

Plastic guards just serve the purpose of racy looks and doesn't give 100% protection from grime as the complete casing. But it does provide very little or consider bare minimum protection.

Now I have no idea as to which guard will fit the CBZ as you'll have to take the bolt seat of the guard and your bike into consideration. I would suggest cut the chain guard at places where it rubs against the tire. Seems crazy but this can be considered.

But try the PULSARS, Hondas and see how it fares.

                            Cheers!

Installed Pulsar 180 UG 4 14/39 Chain sprocket set on my Pulsar 150 UG3 yesterday. The drive is very smooth and enjoyable, overgearing is achieved adequately. But around 40 kmph, I experienced severe vrooom hum type chain vibration. I got the chain a bit loosened and the vibration has reduced but not gone. Chain cover is removed. Stock tyres and swing arm.

Not a problem. Get your chain lubed too. Too loose and a tight a chain can cause khat khat sound and the sound you mentioned like a humming noise from chain. But it's normal. Put the bike in center stand and put the bike in gear and throttle it and if you look closely the chain will produce a humming sound, that's completely normal.

Adjust your slack, lube the chain. Again, not too much slackness and lube, all in their right amounts.

                                Cheers
