Chain pitch of 160 & 180 are different I think. If so, then you need to change the whole chain set, no just any sprocket.. So plz do check out the fitment holes for compatibility.Originally posted by pcgamer View Post

Isn't the ns already quick enough for u?Originally posted by demonbiker View Posthi,
I've been trying everywhere to find a way to overgear pulsar 200NS. the major problem im facing is that i cant find a sprocket smaller than 39t rear with 6 bolts.
i was suggested pulsar 180 36t rear sprocket. please help.. has anyone tried undergearing or overgearing 200NS?

See, whether bigger sprockets/ undergearing is safe or not, has been a matter of conflict: No one opinion exists. Some say its safe, others don't.Originally posted by Sird View PostJust a simple question.
What's the BIGGEST size of Sprocket that Pulsar 220 Can handle without any load / burden on Engine ?
But, even company condition/ stock motorcycles are undergeared sometimes. Duke with its 25 PS touches some 136 or so only. CB1000R, another undergeared example performs well, until its top end of 220 kmph is reached, and that's it.
For your P220, you may try fitting the 40 teeth rear sprocket of the Karizma. If you want even more, try fitting 43 teeth of the Duke. Remember, after this your new chain might not fit, so better get a Karizma's or Duke's chain (both are long enough) to assist with the fitting.---

A member here Joel.
I saw his posts that he's using Duke's sprocket without any problem.
I can have it with the same mechanic from which he got it done !
So no chance of un-professionalism !
Just a query !
Is the life span is differ too ?
Or is it gonna be less if Duke's in 220 ?
It will be available at Bajaj, right ?
Already have a lil bit of regret after Pirelli.
The soft rubber !
Can't burn-out of have fun.
The Life span is also too less.
Don't want something that lasts for a short period.

Any chain, sprocket depends on the care you give it to it, "LUBING". As lubrication is important before f******g,Originally posted by Sird View PostJust a query !

the same goes for chain too. The more you lube it periodically, any chain will can outpace it's normal life, and mark my words on it. Any chain!!
Exactly. The top speed to low end is always a different topic to deal with when it comes to sprocket changes.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostSee, whether bigger sprockets/ undergearing is safe or not, has been a matter of conflict: No one opinion exists. Some say its safe, others don't.

But what I was saying is :
1. Any bad effect on engine from big rear sprocket ?
I don't care for Top Speed. (100-110) & (120-125) is enough when I need it.
Done with those kiddish thing to make it 144-145 long back.
2. The big sprocket anyhow going to get worn out fast ?
Or the chain ?
Where should I hunt for Duke Chain Sprocket ?
I can search for it tomorrow, then paint it custom, apply it on Bike !

Nope, you may not worry about sprocket causing strain to the engine whasoever. Either you're gonna suffer a low end or reduced top end that's about it. You can get Duke's sprocket at KTM showrooms.Originally posted by Sird View PostYea I'm aware of it now from xBhp.

Thanks. I checked it again in the RTR180 manual.Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostChain pitch of 160 & 180 are different I think. If so, then you need to change the whole chain set, no just any sprocket.. So plz do check out the fitment holes for compatibility.
It says the following
So, I don't think anything is different apart from the length..1. Chain assembly : N9112830
2. Chain assembly length increased from 124 L to 130 L.
to match longer wheel base and modified sprocket teeth.
3. Servicing procedure for O ring chain is same as explained
Apache RTR refresh 160 cc (Refer SER.INF / APACHE
RTR - REVISION 1). After every water servicing Cleaning &
lubrication the 'O' - Ring chain if necessary.
4. Not interchangeable with existing RTR 160 vehicles.

Yes if most doesn't know how's Apache's instant acceleration works is not in it's engine, but it all lies in the sprocket, add more, add less makes a huge different in the top and low end of the bike, but most keep blaming it on the engine, just a thought.

Any body has any information about Bajaj platina 125(2011 model) sprocket size??
I want to overgear it, as I do a lot of long ride I am ready to loose some acceleration and gain some topend..
So that My cruising speed which is 70-85kmph will be with "less vibration " and I think mileage will be slightly more...
I think I have go for bigger front sprocket but which will direct fit for that??
If not what are the other option ..
My bike is 19months old and clocked 29,265kms ..shubham.bairy facebook

I just got my Hero Honda Hunk Joel'ed. It produces around 3bhp more than stock now I guess. I've heard we can swap the sprockets with the ones from the Unicorn. I was thinking of going for the 42/15 setup. Will it fit(or will the Dazzler's chain sprocket kit fit)? Stock is 43/14. How would you advise I go about this?Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostIf you do extreme over-gearing, it should be only after your bike produces more power than a stock bike. For example, a modified bike with K&N, after market silencer, etc.
Also, are sprockets available separately? Or must we buy the entire kit?Hero Honda Hunk 2011, RC'ed, DC'ed, MC'ed! :P

You can get any of the sprockets either alone or as a set. Yes, if you want individual sprockets they are available for most of the bikes. But for what are you thinking to replace it with, do you want, top-end, low-end or mix of both.

More top end! :P The bike is short geared in the first place, now after being Joel'ed, I'm sure it's capable of a few more kmph.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostYou can get any of the sprockets either alone or as a set. I was considering the Karizma rear or the Unicorn front. Both would be overkill in my opinion. :PHero Honda Hunk 2011, RC'ed, DC'ed, MC'ed! :P
