Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive
You and me share the same anxiety. I guess that Kawasaki has been a little slow in delivering the bikes (so I feel) I mean its now close to a month since the launch and only two or three members have confirmed receiving one. In my case also at the time of booking on 2nd Apr I was told that I would receive my bike by end of Apr but this has now been stretched to 3rd week of May. So the anxious wait is continuing, also the wait is more painful as I have to pick up the bike almost 300 Kms away from the place of my residence . But the silver lining would be that I would get a decent running in mileage in one shot.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View Post

Wait for couple of weeks, the posts will come in hard and fastOriginally posted by Ezilkannan View PostIts been quite a long time since someone posted about their experience. What happened N300 owners? Is this thread dead already? Waiting for some updates here
I know, I'm putting it up just as facts, nothing more. Its a bit strange, caz we shouldn't even be comparing the Duke with CBRs and Ninjas, but then again there are quite a few who do that.
... Just a few more days to go for delivery of my bike. I got a call from the Vashi showroom asking if I wanted Zero depreciation insurance. Since it costs about Rs. 2,500/- more than standard one, I thought it worthwhile to go for the same.

Btw, I have a question for the N300 owners. What tyres do you have? IRC? And how good are they?2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300

It is not that I am in a hurry since I'll be taking delivery on 10th June but I am still anxious and wondering why didn't the showroom guys contact me yet...for any communication as such
I think I'll go and pay them a visit tomorrow and check exactly what's happening with my order. As far as I remember you booked the bike after I did, right?Regards,

Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive
It's quite normal. If you booked your bike in a tier 1 city, obviously there is pressure on the showroom for delivery who booked earlier. Your delivery date semms quite late. For my story I booked unofficially first on 29th March in WB. But still arun and some others from different states received their bike I didn't get a single call from them. (Vide. My earlier post in this thread). I escalated the matter to higher authority and they told that the first bije in WB is to be delivered aroynd third week of May, and which will be mine. So Bajaj is already being very late ti deliver it. So I think it's normal. Even after the confirmation from higher official, I still didn't get the exact delivery date from my showroom. But I will show my adherence..Originally posted by Arsenic View PostHey buddy when are you expecting the delivery of your Ninja? Great choice mate! I've been following your (modding) adventures on the R16 since the very beginning and would love to read what you have to say about the Ninja 300 once it's in your possession. Your detailed posts and writing style are excellent!
I think all of us can take it for granted that your 300 will not remain stock for long too!
Judging by the reviews abroad this is an excellent machine, and I feel this is more than enough power for any kind of road in India. Congrats & Cheers!

Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive
It's been quite some time since I posted something and I do apologise to guys who are waiting for their machines. I know how I was during my waiting period. My only defense is the 13 + work hours I have been going through.
Met with a minor accident on the super smooth (read slippery) JVLR road at a speed of around 20 kph. Chawl boys racing and cutting dangerously forced me to break suddenly and caused me to slip. I had to use the front breaks as my legs were tucked on footpegs and didn't have enough time to use the rear break. Fell to my right and landed straight on my knee and I am thankful for the kneepads without which my knee would have taken the maximum impact. Absolutely no injury to my knee, but since my toes were on the footpegs, my calf got stuck beneath the silencer which inturn caused a burn on my calf. Minor scratches to the fairing, a burnt patch on my leg and a broken heart are the only reminders I have of the unfortunate incident. Any good wax options I can use to polish off the scratches?
I have completed around 650 kms till now and the rides are still as enjoyable as my first. Have taken her to 78 kph max and can feel the power waiting to be unleashed. 800 km mark and then the 1st servicing should be up soon. The second filling gave me a mileage of around 22 kpl taking the average to 25 kpl.
Getting a lot of stares and some idiots who jump in front to slow me down so that they can get a better view of the bike. One guy in a car almost squashed me between his car and the divider so that he could tell me that the headlights were on. I don't approve of murderers but at that moment I could empathize with some of them.
.
Planning on getting frame sliders this weekend after checking out the options with nikunj (arsenic). And if I am unable to remove the one deep scratch I have, use a decal on it.
Will try updating this thread on a regular basis. Hope the soon to be owners get their rides asap.
Cheers to all.

Damsels and hot looking bikes have one thing in common. They tend to attract unwanted attention, irony of indian public.Originally posted by arunrk85 View Post

I booked my bike about 20 days back. You should be getting a call any time now. Or you can call them up and get the details of delivery of your bike.Originally posted by Arsenic View PostAbhimanyu: When did you book your bike mate?
Hi Neoakshay, I do remember you. You were one of the first persons to post on my thread. I was and am still waiting for the Triumph Daytona. Its been a frustrating wait for more than a year now. When I told my wife about the introduction of Ninja 300, she insisted that I buy it and when the Daytona becomes available I can buy that one too.Originally posted by neoakshay View PostHi Abhimanyu,

Yes, you are right about my bike not remaining stock for too long. I have the eternal bug to tinker around. However, the first few months will go in getting a complete understanding of how the stock bike performs and identifying areas where changes will give the right results.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.
