Btw, I still haven't got any reviews about the tires. How good are they? And I heard that the tires provided with the N300 are IRC and can get a bit slippery in wet conditions. Is that so? Anyone here faced any issues with the tires?

Yes, I think padding is a much better option than a gel or messing around with the suspension.Originally posted by rocker View Post

Where do you live? If you plan to take this bike then approach the nearest probiking dealer soon and book with adv. 40k. Otherwise, u may have to wait time infinite.. coz the earliest books yet not delivered.. and only owner's manual. No service manual (which is used by the service staff as detail guide) by default. I found the latter in ebay.com intl. Site to buy extra.Originally posted by arpansarkar View Postcongrats! everyone riding the bike. Can anyone tell me if the bike has any vibes in any RPM? On the plus side I have completed 1060 kms and will be going for the first servicing tomorrow. The bike handles like a charm. Took it to a max of around 107 kph and it still felt as if I was doing around 60
...
I have learnt my lesson from my fall and keep my right foot on the break lever all the time. As the Indian model does not have ABS, I would advise everyone here to read the panic breaking article present on this site. Helped me out twice today.
As for the tyres I am pretty damn sure they are going to cause me problems during the rains. Cannot say for sure how good they'll be in wet conditions as I have not experienced it but the only thing I can say is that they are just about doing their job.
I have not received any service manual so could you throw some light as to what it is about? Or do you mean the service checklist?Originally posted by arpansarkar View Postcongrats! everyone riding the bike. Can anyone tell me if the bike has any vibes in any RPM? As for vibes the bike gives absolutely no vibes and the bike is as smooth at 7k rpm as it is at 3 or 4 k. But ya, I do feel a tingly
type of feel as 5.5 k so much so that I know that I am at the said rpm. It disappears once u reach 6k.

Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive
Service check-lists are included in owners manual. But he is asking for service guide for DYI like that. It contains the wiring diagram detail, engine openings etc. I have a few parts of it collected from different forums. It's only for the service staff. e.g. For my P220 I also procured one later. With that I have changed something in electrical part to use both the headlamp (long n short) together for better illumination without causing any problem to my bike.Originally posted by arunrk85 View PostWell I just came back from a 240 km ride to Pali and my ass is begging me not to put any weight on it. Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive
Something you didn't know about the new baby ninja
Power delivery is linear, with enough torque to pootle around as low as 3,000-4,000 rpm and be able to nip into gaps without having to downshift. It's meaty between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm, suitable for most urban needs. But it's from 8,000 rpm or so that the party begins. A mad, invite-only, teen house party. At 9,000 rpm the little Ninja's already doing tequila slammers. At 10,000 there are pink pills being bandied about. At 11,000 it's disappearing into a room with that red-haired girl with a pierced tongue. But push on towards 13,000 and it hits the limiter, where the girl says no, and the neighbours tell you to turn the music down or else.

No dude, your not quite right as Bajaj's website is not updated with the list of all newly established KTM showrooms across India. Read my previous post in this thread. At present there are total five KTM showrooms in West Bengal. I am also one who booked the bike earliest in this state. 1. Kolkata Auto Centre, Chowringhee or Park St. 2. Kolkata new, VIP Road, 3. Siliguri, 4. Kharagpur (KTM Midnaapore) 5. KTM Durgapur (Banerjee Auto). Search in KTM website and their dealership. You will get all of them which still not updated in Bajaj's site.www.ktm.com/in/dealer-service/dealer-search.htmlOriginally posted by arpansarkar View PostI live in west Bengal. there are two probiking locations Kolkata 470km and silliguri 350km from where I live... :P I found in Kawasaki.com that u can buy service manual from dealers. they sell it too owners too. thanks for clearing about vibes. and for manual check this Welcome to Kawasaki.com
And the second thing. Just now I managed to collect both of the assembly and service manual for 2013 N300 which are sold by Kawasaki USA at a hefty price of $53. Thanks to one of my friends outside India who owns a Ninja 300. If anybody here wants the manuals please PM me and I will send them those definitely. I can post it here directly for all if the moderator allows me because it's a copyright material. The manuals are fantastic. They answer all the plethora of FAQs about your Ninja 300 before and even after you get her in your hand. A must-have for all the owners as well as the enthusiasts.
I think @abhimanyu31 first needs it
.. I was his fan since he published about his R16 project
And the most interesting thing is the manual is too voluminous that it comprises an odd 621 or more pages...

You have no clue about the amount of searching I have done for the manual. I have searched high and low on other forums. The R16 will always be very close to my heart but the Ninja 300 is going to be one very exciting project. It has amazing potential. All I will say at this point of time is that it will be one of the hottest 300 in the country while being a sleeper at the same time.

Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive
Today I was suppose to get delivery of my bike. Since the bike's passing is to be done at the Andheri RTO, I was to take delivery of the bike at my work place in Goregaon. The expected time of delivery was 12.30 p.m. At 1.30 p.m. I get a call from the showroom informing me that the RTO office is not processing any vehicles today and for the next 2 days
due some back office working going on in the RTO.
I was requested by the lady from the Vashi showroom if I could arrange for the bike to be parked at my residence as taking it back to Vashi and bringing it back would be inconvenient. I agreed to the same and made arrangements to have bike parked safely at my sister's residence in Andheri.
Now for the absurd part; After the bike is parked the Bajaj Probiking guy contacts his office and makes me speak with a lady from the Vashi showroom who to my surprise insists that I sign the delivery papers and complete the delivery formalities. When I ask what about the registration part, she tells me that I agreed during the earlier call (which I did not!!!) to get the registration done on my own!!!!
... when I pointed out that all I agreed to was to arrange for parking space for the bike, she got aggressive and insisted that I had indeed agreed to get the registration done on my own and therefore I should accept the delivery of bike and sign the papers (whatever happen to the adage that 'customer is always right'
, here I am being implicitly accused of lying
). The argument lasted about 10 minutes and was deteriorating into a shouting match when I finally gave her the ultimatum that the bike can go back to the showroom and I am to be contacted only after all formalities are completed and I will prefer collecting the bike from the showroom. At this point of time the Probiking guy who was looking distinctly uncomfortable at the way the conversation was going stepped in and spoke to the lady. He spoke to her for couple of minutes and then once again requested me to allow the bike to be parked as I had arranged. He also said that I need not sign any papers but requested that I keep the papers with me and he would collect them day after tomorrow and complete the formalities. He was apologetic about the whole episode and also commented in the passing that if I escalate the issue it would make for some people very very uncomfortable under their collars.
It seems the gentleman from Probiking, while being much lower in the hierarchy has more common sense and customer service etiquette than the lady sitting in showroom. Shame on the lady for trying to pull a fast one and kudos to the gentleman for thinking quickly and saving the situation from going t**s up!!!
So at the end of the story, the bike is parked at my sister's residence and will now go for RTO passing day after tomorrow.Last edited by abhimanyu31; 05-15-2013, 05:25 PM.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.
