• Re: 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 - rush is addictive

    Hello ninjette riders!!

Today on the way to the office, my girl broke down.

I was on my normal office commute. I slowed down a bit and when I accelerated, I heard a weird rattling sound. First I thought it was from some nearby vehicle. Within few mins I sensed a drastic drop in power. I slowed down first. The rattling sound got worse. Then I turned off the ignition. Luckily the Probiking service center was like less than a kilometer away. So I got down and pushed her all the way to the service center. Guys there turned on the engine. The rattling was in sync with the accelerator. Even those guys had no idea. Looking the expression on their face, I think it is something big .

They were whispering "Kawasaki walon ko bulana padega". They told me that they will let me know over phone about the issue and keep me updated and they could commit a time only after checking.

We both had done 7298 KMS on the Odo. I never faced any issues so far. This is the first one, and it feels big.

Waiting for the service center guy's call... Would be grateful on some insights on the issue from experienced riders, as it is my first bike.

I didn't check the oil level . Oil was replaced during second service at around 5000 KMS on Odo, this January 17th. Never seen any leaks in parking lot. Had an accident around 2000KMS, replaced broken rear brake set, scratched right fairing and bent right handle bar.

abhimanyu31 Posting here as I do not want to add an uninformative post in your modification thread. Anyway, any plans of installing woodcraft or any other clip ons? I know it's not a plug and play kit and requires some amount of drilling and some other risky tasks. But curious as you have done so many amazing mods and the clip-ons will take your ride one step closer to being a ZX-3R.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but how much did you pay for the repairs? What percentage did the insurance company pay?

Woodcraft clip ons have already been sourced along with Sato Racing rear sets. Will be installed over the next few weeks.

Insurance, I am assuming you are enquiring on my previous accident. I do not remember the amount, but it was 90% coverage by the insurance company.(Labour incl.)

It turned out to be crankshaft bearing failure

Oil starvation can be the prime suspect. Point is who goofed up on the oil levels at the workshop...

The workshop guys too said the same. I did the First servicefrom a different service center and moved on to different one because of very bad service and customer attention. The previous guys used an additive with the engine oil and these guys are skeptical about it. Also during the second service the extracted oil was too less(650ml) and very viscous and dark. So I don't know if it is the first service center guys stole some
