Thanks mate, I called him again. Pushed hard with the signed contract and he has agreed that I pay on 29th and take delivery on 31st.

However the second problem remains. He is assertive that RTO will take some time post 31st (max 8 days). The bike will be parked at the showroom in the meanwhile. I specifically told him I am against the idea an unknown or even him revving my bike just to show the prospective owners the sound of the bike. He started giving gyan that break in period RPM limit is not applicable to revving in idle which was plain BS. The only other option as per him is I take the bike to my home ON MY RISK, and he will arrange the registration in the meanwhile. He says it will take anything from 5-8 days (as mentioned earlier). Reason for such a long time: Its a sports bike! I was able to negotiate booking issues due to my prior experience in buying car / bike but this is beyond me. Again my question, was this a usual practice in your purchases? He asserted that there have been cases owners have parked their bikes for nearly a month at showroom!

Can any one say is it a problem to be worried?. Should I top up oil?. If so which oil should I top up with.

Hey guys, this is my first post here and i am excited to be part of this forum. This forum has been of immense help for my research. Thanks for all the contributors. So after a lot of thinking through between Honda CBR 250 vs Ninja 300 i am now inclined towards the ninja. I have couple of questions and i seek advise from the existing owners and seniors.
1) How is Ninja 300 for daily commute. Especially in Bangalore. Is it painful? I am shifting from HH Splendor and Scooters
2) How is the passenger comfort in N300? I have read in other places that CBR250 has a very comfortable seating position for the pillion but couldn't find much info on ninja 300. Well want to make my GF comfortable
3) How is the parts longevity and the typical maintenance costs of the Ninja?

Will keep the group updated on my next steps.. thanks a ton

I can understand how you must be feeling. The first Ninja I ever rode was Ninja 300 only and it feels overwhelming. Here's my small contribution to this thread. And this Ninja belongs to fellow member @vikrant_

Thanks a ton bro. I went through the video. They do say that it is comfortable for the passenger rider so it is a plus point. But suggest it is a pain to drive in the traffic, which is a bit bothersome considering Bangalore traffic. Do any of the current owners ride it as daily commute? please advise
Unfortunately i am unable to get a test drive in the city as no dealer currently has one
Also, fyi, the prices have gone up again compared to last 1 month and it is now 4.15 on road in Bangalore

You can try the Indranagar/Marthahalli showroom for a TD, they will provide as long as they are convinced you are a genuine customer.
The CBR and Ninja will be similar to handle in traffic conditions. The video is in comparison to Duke or any other naked, which will obviously find it easier to slice through traffic.
But the Ninja is no slouch either but you cant squeeze it through gaps as easily.
Regardless, Life shall go on.

Umm..that depends, how many kms you will be covering per day? As far as I know about the traffic condition about bangalore.. n300 might give you a problem for first few days (city commute only), but you will get used to it

Till last month I was using my N300 for 20kms city commute daily without any problem, keep in mind I don't live in bangalore.. The traffic condition is far better here in meerut compared to bangalore :P

If possible get a TD, that will definitely clear your mind.

One question - How are the average maintenance costs of your respective ninjas. I have seen this topic got initiated couple of times on this thread but did not get a closure. Would sincerely appreciate your inputs.

As for the TD, i am pushing the showroom guys to get one. I beleive their TD vehicle was crashed by a customer recently (Indiranagar/Mthalli KTM).. so currently they dont have a N300. They do have a 650, so i probably will end up doing a TD of that. Those guys are actually pushing the 650 ahead of 300 mainly for passenger comfort and touring/daily commute. But i know N300 will meet my needs and i dont need a 650

k2181 : Do yourself a favour and don't even think about N650 for daily/city commute :P & N300 crashed by a customer :O Oh My... no doubt why showroom guys doesn't allow TD in my region on these costly bikes!!

In last 13 months. I have paid around 14k for accidental repair (excluding 40k paid by insurance company q-: ), plus whatever regular service costs 3-4k (depends upon engine oil refill-motul). My 3rd service is due right now.

One question from my side to N300 owner's :-

Approx what average is your N300 giving? Mine is somewhere between 17-20 on 70% highway ride.
