Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
what are my options? i paid 85000 as down payment.no receipt or anything for this. he says finance people will take care of it as its loan. showroom cant give receipt of 85000...is it so? i know how it is when you got ready cash, but in loan??
.. i know insurance is 4500 and tax is 11000, dealer has not given surety about down payment of bike. anyone got bajaj finance working telephone number?
isnt the dealer not supposed to tell me, how much is bike's down payment?I'm a responsible rider. It doesn't matter what you ride, but what matters is how you ride.

Okay. Then I got nothing to worry about.Originally posted by nirvan View PostThat is probably the ABS kicking in, you will feel a vibration when the wheel approaches lock-up point under hard braking.
I read about the stalling issues. My bike does not stall when I pull the clutch. Bike has done 633kms on odo.

I got the receipt when I made the booking and also when I made the down payment. The dealer is supposed to give you all the details. But do not leave without any receipt.Originally posted by Legend Racer View Postwhat are my options? i paid 85000 as down payment.no receipt or anything for this. he says finance people will take care of it as its loan. showroom cant give receipt of 85000...is it so? i know how it is when you got ready cash, but in loan??

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Can you please share the estimated cost of repair and also if possible break up of it. Are you taking insurance claim ? Please post picture of frame .Originally posted by psv_krishna View PostWent to Service to check on my bike's progress. Surprise surprise, there was one more 390 with an accident from oncoming vehicle in wrong direction. That bike had suffered similar damage as mine. Trellis frame also damaged and replaced.
My bike was also completely checked and found that my frame had damage. All parts are ordered and now shipped, will be recieved by this weekend. So my bike will be done by next week.
I still hope these 2 bikes with frame damage is just one off cases. Both bikes invovled in similar incidents, had trellis frame damage, and other front portions damaged. I hope this should stop happening to any bikes in future. Accidents on Indian roads are bound to happen, but damages to frame and alloy wheels (like in my example) should not happen in this magnitude. Have a safe ride all you guys.
Thanks

you should get receipt even if you pay Rs. 500 to dealer (loan or no loan doea not matter)...otherwise there is no proof that you made any paymentOriginally posted by Legend Racer View Postwhat are my options? i paid 85000 as down payment.no receipt or anything for this. he says finance people will take care of it as its loan. showroom cant give receipt of 85000...is it so? i know how it is when you got ready cash, but in loan??

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hope I can chime in here.
I am contemplating for a paint job, no, I don't own any KTM motorcycle per se. But it'd be real helpful, if someone can provide some insights. The colors I am looking are the standard KTM Orange or Repsol Orange. If anybody can help me in sourcing the KTM orange and or the Repsol orange coat or at least anything close from the local vendors or anywhere else that'd be real helpful.
Also those who have mixed two grades to get a more darker consistency of any Orange coat, or any kind of homework from your side will be appreciated.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yes, normally they give the repayment schedule. HDFC had provided me one for my car loan. However, Bajaj guys don't give it. Their customer care attitude is like "We told you the EMI, rate of interest and tenure what more info you want?"Originally posted by Legend Racer View Postpost it to me at the earliest , please... loan process is 1st time for me yar... i know im screwed.. was yours bajaj finance? if its 4000 / month, then it gotta be 36 months. isnt?

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Bajaj helpline number is 9379433222. Their website has info about two wheeler loan.
This how the process went for me:-
1. Paid Rs.30k by cheque as booking amount and obtained an agreement + receipt.
2. Before taking the delivery made remaining down payment and applied for loan simultaneously. Got single acknowledgement for both.
3. Upon taking delivery of the bike got an invoice with all the break-ups.
How did you pay the down payment amount? If it is by cheque then you need not worry. Else involve the same guy with whom you were in touch with for engine replacement.
Has the dealer committed a date for delivery yet?A lone amateur built the ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic...
