How much did they charge you for chain clean and lube? It is Rs. 200 in Pune - a bit too much I feel for 5 min job.Originally posted by NitinGirish View Post

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi guys,
I am desperately looking for the DIY which someone in this forum had done for the chain slapping.
I vaguely remember the gentleman did some research and had attached a pipe to screwed it so that it doesn't touch the slider with pics. Can anyone please point it ?
I am myself searching it for the past 2 days in this thread with no luck.
Thanks in advance,
Sanjoy

Regardless of the color, wait till you get a consignment which was made for sure in Jan or later.Originally posted by jaswave125 View PostHi I'm getting my bike here in Philippines this coming feb 15, And the bike that we will get is produced most probably within November-January(just a rough estimate) we are getting the white one's only, would you think it's within the same quality of those black ones?
I mean is there really that much of a difference from the old ktm's to the new ones?
This has my mind confused one part is super excited for the duke 390 but after reading this errr... I dont know if I'm getting a good quality product
Please share your thoughts.

In this Malaysian review, The reviewer says that the D390 comes with a 13 lts tank (at 2:02). Why does the Indian version get 10 lts?

Nope Rohit. They include that in Consumables (Chain Clean, Lube and Coolant Topup).Originally posted by Rohit.nagamalla View PostHere in Hyderabad its free for all the KTM customers
This Saturday, cleaned the front sprocket area. There was lots of chain lube accumulated near it, most of it was tribocor.
Next weekend is complete chain decreasing.Last edited by riazmomin; 02-03-2014, 11:31 PM.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Finally done with the initial mods for making the bike better for highways.
1. Added foam to seat. - Rs. 450 including leather covers for both seats.
2. Cbr250r's windscreen installed. - Rs. 350 for the screen
3. Louder horn. - Rs. 500 for Minda horns.
1. Seat :
Its a lot more comfortable now. Although its now also higher by about an inch and a half. This provides a bit more room to move around and also slightly lesser strain on the hands, and legs are also slightly more relaxed and comfortable. At the same time the confidence while cornering is slightly lesser than what it used to be. Also seat now looks a bit weird and ugly and is almost at level with the pillion seat. In conclusion a much more comfortable seat and slightly improved riding posture.
here are a few shots :

2. The wind shield.
this one took some time. I suggest you call over a friend to help out. I made a mistake while drilling the hole initially but still managed somehow. Thanks to the awesome DIY thread by riazmomin . Although I am still waiting for an update regarding adding support to the shield. Did a test run, attained speeds till 140 and it works perfectly. So in conclusion much lesser wind blast till the neck now. Can do 110-130 all day.
Notice the wrong holes. :P

3. Minda Horns.
I am personally not a big fan of loud horns but I guess they are a must for highways in India. So got the same ones that I had for the 200. Good enough to get the job done.

So the bike now looks really sad :P but is more comfortable at the same time. Will add crash protectors and get some specifically made for the bike after I am back from Shimla.
This is how the bike looks now. :

Does someone know where can we buy continental tyres in India. If we can ?When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D
