I would guess the lot that you are going to receive in Philippines will be manufactured in 2014 and in all likelihood will have the refinements. Even if they don't, fret not, since the refinements are most likely to be because modified fuel maps via ECU reprogramming. Which means sooner or later you will have the upgraded fuel maps via an ECU flash. Either way, quality is not an issue, you are buying the same product with perhaps a different software version.

My detailer removed the windscreen screws and was unable to tighten one screw (out of 4). I took it to local mech and he said the headlight assembly needs to be dismantled to tighten and he is not confident of doing it.

Just wanted to confirm, is it really so? Can we not unscrew all the four screws and install it back again properly without going through the hassle of removing headlight assembly for this.

There's some sort of rubber/plastic grommet that these screws sit on - I read these could fall into the headlight assembly if you're not careful. Make sure it is where it should be and if it isn't, you know where to look!

I dont think that should be the case, one reason i can think of is that you tighten the other three screws before so you were not able to tighten the last screw. Try tightening only a little at time and keep tightening different screw. You can refer to some car manual on how to tighten the car wheel screw.

Damn . Some body should have signalled me. I was there the whole session till 4.30. I was wearing black xbhp tee & blue jeans with blue cap.

Any one from banglore with a modified exhaust & db killer removed? The Exhaust name is ixil with two up-swept pipes.

This Saturday, cleaned the front sprocket area. There was lots of chain lube accumulated near it, most of it was tribocor.
Next weekend is complete chain decreasing.
No Riaz bhai.. everytime before a ride i go there to get my chain checked, they check it lube it for free of cost, and i asked Phani about the charges they said they do it for free and I have seen many people coming during the KTM orange day, for everyone its free.

This is what the local mech said too. Will take it to ASC this Saturday.

Don't want to further complicate this, so will take it to ASC. I should have left it alone instead of asking to remove the plastic wrap

@NitinGirish I screwed and unscrewed the shield a couple of times and also managed to lose one of those grommets in the headlight assembly. I guess that screw is loose cause of rubber thing only as @nirvan mentioned. You don't need to open the whole headlight assembly. Just unscrew the two screws that you see below the display and lift up the black part. I found that rubber thing sitting there right behind the headlamp. And as @shootingstar mentioned try tightening different screws. Take it to the ASC if its close to your place or else even the headlight assembly is also fairly easy to remove and put back. timuseravan I agree it also looks decent in real but was definitely better before. Although looks are secondary for me so no issues there

Guys I just realised that I can't put back the front number plate now. So what do I do ? Get the sticker one ?

I guess I relate to your problem since I and my Dad did it for my bike. I guess there maybe 2 issues
1) The allen screws are too small and may get rounded very easily with some pressure and might not have grip to get tightened any more . Is that your case?
2) The rubber housing is not fixed to the fairing and has a tendency to sneak inside the fairing so need to be careful while tightening . So is the forth screws rubber housing intact?

I have put a fazer screen and very happy about it and I would like to add here that evenough I drilled holes correctly but because of the difference in curvature of the stock & this one ,it needed some pushing-pulling. But once set it never gave rattles/issues and its slight tint added with the ODOs orange reflection looks cool in night....

I am desperately looking for the DIY which someone in this forum had done for the chain slapping.
I vaguely remember the gentleman did some research and had attached a pipe to screwed it so that it doesn't touch the slider with pics. Can anyone please point it ?

I am myself searching it for the past 2 days in this thread with no luck.

Thanks in advance,

If you loosed the screw inside the headlight assembly, then you have disassemble the headlight. Its a head-ache, though it is simple, because everything is cramped. Precaution needs to be taken so that the screw doesn't fall of. I lost mine inside and had to open complete assembly along with MID to search for it. At the end I found that it had already fell on floor :P.

:O, They took 100 for consumable during second service.

HSNP is still not strictly followed in Hyderabad. It will take some more time to become mandatory. Lots of Bureaucracy here. . Currently number is sticked on the front mudgaurd. Though cops stopped me in the routine checking, they never questioned about number on Visor or mudguard. As far as number is clear and according to norm, no issues in Hyderabad.

I have removed the CBR's windshield as of now to work on the supporting frame. But not getting time to work on it.

I believe I have seen the same bike getting out from Kasturba SVC. It was driven by a cute girl . Couldnt hear the sound much as she did not rev - Bangalore traffic . None the less, it was lovely to see a cutie riding the beast in India
