Very good indeed, but I am not a big fan of total decal overhaul, but appreciate for sharing it.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

so has he eaten it or paid it as down payment? how do i know?
Dealer should always give receipt whenever you make payment, he don;t have to give bill just the receipt that he has received so much money from so and so.

You should totally get a receipt for whatever amount you paid. This acts as proof of transaction. What happens, if, in future the Manager claims you have not paid any amount. I had got a receipt for the booking amount after payment.

my bad... that day i was overjoyed yar... i knew it would be mistake to leave without clear transactions, but when i saw her i was all lost. and then the starting issues, i was pissed and wanted to hide somewhere with her... dealer promised that he would send me all the bills and documents required for registration, the next day. i believed, but only received registration docs...
here is the calculation... please use brains and pour in experiences...

the OTR price here WAS Rs 2,00,000. I booked it with Rs 31000. paid Rs 54000 at the time of delivery. At 11.5 % Rs 23000 extra. The total price i gotta pay is Rs 2,23,000. Isnt?

                i paid Rs 31000+Rs 54000 = Rs 85000

                EMI is Rs 4509 * 36 months = Rs 162324

                Rs 162324 + Rs 85000 = Rs 247324

Rs 247324 - Rs 223000 = Rs 24324. Thats the difference... how? someone ate?? help me...

Are you saying that you took loan for the whole amount of 2laks? I assume that the booking amount and the amount you paid at delivery (total 85k) was from your pocket. If this is the case, then, the loan amount would be1.15 laks. Please correct me if I am wrong.

hell, i forgot... for Rs 125000 interest should be Rs 14375. for all this confusion i need to get a payment receipt for Down Payment... anyone got it , please post it soon.

not only that. if we calculate the EMI its Rs 162324

                    Rs 85000 towards DP???...

                    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

just called up bajaj toll free. they confirmed that loan amount is Rs 1,20,000. at 11.75% for 3 years its Rs 42324 extra.

that leaves a difference of Rs 5000.

                    OTR Rs 200000 - Rs 120000 = Rs 80000

                    i paid Rs 85000
                    isnt???

Can you confirm the OTR again, as here, in Delhi, it was 2.01laks and I think its one of the cheapest cities to get any vehicle(except Chandigarh, Pune, Pondicherry). Also, if you opted for zero dep insurance, then around 900INR would have been added to the bikes price.

During the first service the mechanic put around 1.5 lts of oil into the engine with a new oil filter. There are no leaks from anywhere around the bike only lil bit of dust affinity around the oil input area and oil filter cap area.
we have a scheduled trip to goa from bangalore this month end with total running of 1500 kms. should i top up some oil before heading out for this trip ?
Tourers please provide some inputs for long distance rides on the duke.
                            kms completed : 2100 approx
This had been a problem with my bike from the time I got it. About a month ago I got the "Low Oil Pressure" issue. Still trying to get this issue sorted. Associated with this is the fact that when I drained the oil and checked quantity it was down to about 800 - 900 ml. The entire oil had turned black and I have changed the oil twice between the 1st service and the 2nd.

I know I am responding late, however have you done the Goa trip already? If yes did you notice this issue with your bike? Either way, check the quantity of oil before the issue actually shows up. Please report your findings here as well. Thanks

My bike was also completely checked and found that my frame had damage. All parts are ordered and now shipped, will be received by this weekend. So my bike will be done by next week.

I still hope these 2 bikes with frame damage is just one off cases. Both bikes invovled in similar incidents, had trellis frame damage, and other front portions damaged. I hope this should stop happening to any bikes in future. Accidents on Indian roads are bound to happen, but damages to frame and alloy wheels (like in my example) should not happen in this magnitude. Have a safe ride all you guys.
A similarly damaged bike is lying with Trivandrum Probiking Service center with a broken trellis, though the crash was not major. The insurance survey took place in front of me and Rajesh(Legend Racer) and according to the report, the bike collided with a jeep, Mahindra ofcourse when coming downhill. The front alloy was bent along with the forks. The console along with the whole headlamp cluster and the radiator turned to scratch. Felt good to hear about the scratch less rider.

If you worried about falling off the bike, you'd never get on.

One of the main reason going for naked bike in this case D390 was that there will be less damage than fully faired bike like N300 but looks like its so delicate that after any accident there will be a big amount to pay and not to mention long waiting period for repair. Really sad after seeing tirelli and rim getting damaged so easily
