    hello brothers, i m facing some issue with engine. please check this out



    i guess with this much noise its not advisable to ride 450 km to service center.
    and what is the cheapest way to transport bike from one city to another ??

      Any duke 390(with handguards) owner here number 700 going towards laxmi nagar here. .? Your duke sounded very dull. Dont know why.

              Yeah thats loud. Mine sounds a bit similar too though maybe a bit less. Ill post up a video a bit later. Ive shown it to 2 different svcs but they say the sound is normal for the 390. Has it always been this noisy? Does it increase from when you cold start the bike to after its been ridden for a bit.

                no it was smooth before that. the sound does increase when one ride the bike. the video dosent present the clear sound. it is loud and like some metal is getting hit inside. do post ur video.

                  Ride the bike for 5 mins and after it allow it to stand for 5 mins....and then check if there is any engine oil leaking from oil filter area...it is the most common issue for which you will have to visit svc for a new bike...

                  And one more thing...do check the Grab-Rails...my 200 had paint chipped off from one of them towards the end..I could only notice it afterwards..it can be missed very easily...and check headlights multiple times...keep the headlight running and shut the engine and then fire the engine again and see it lights come up...do it 2-3 times.

                    Ok. How many kms has it completed. Now. Mines at 350. Will post the vid in abt an hour or so. Do u have access to any other 390 to compare the sound to

                        Just curious, any particular reason to check the headlight so thoroughly?

                          Mine had this problem of light not turning on after starting the engine and I got stranded at a traffic signal (was dark)...you would not want that to happen as it becomes a safety concern.

                            Hmmm... this has happened to me a couple of times before the first service. Never faced this issue again, so didn't know what to make of it. This issue has been reported with D200 before, with people guessing that the lights don't start till you are on the move.
