Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
As long as its a t10 Wedge type connector. The pilot lamp on my duke fused in less than a month and I switched to a LED that i bought of ebay.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostMy Duke's pilot lamp got fused today. Can this be done at home?
Any 5W,12V could be fitted ?
I'd advice you get it replaced at the asc since opening the headlight unit is a little tricky and you might damage those plastic rivets

Replacement rear tyre!!! Completely confused
I badly need to replace the rear tyre, but for the moment the metzeler is out of budget....
How good are the Michelin Pilot street or the Pirelli Sport demon?
I'm thinking of putting in a medium range tyre for now, & then switch it with a Metzeler just before the rainy season hits...
Suggestions are most welcome(& most needed as well
)

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
My head gasket has oil seepage from front side of engine where exhaust is connected, does anyone know the overall cost for replacing it?
P.s : Anyone who is facing similar issue which is very minor get it rectified when the bike is still in warranty period. I had very less leak in the first year so kind of ignored the issue and now the seepage is quite visible till the bottom of the cowl.Last edited by rick_7428; 03-22-2015, 12:34 AM.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Try the new MRF's i.e. the revz C1 which are the right size and speed rated to match the duke. They would cost lower compared to a michelin and the grip levels should be good enough (because you have mentioned that you would switch to the metz later on)Originally posted by killer_180 View PostReplacement rear tyre!!! Are they as good as the michelins or the pirellis? I'm worried because my daily work commute involves highway driving..Originally posted by s1d View PostTry the new MRF's i.e. the revz C1 which are the right size and speed rated to match the duke. Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Sorry I haven't used these tires, and i own a Duke 200 which is running on the stock MRF's and they are pretty good tires (not so great in the wet)Originally posted by killer_180 View PostAre they as good as the michelins or the pirellis? But the new range from MRF are supposedly 'better' and more importantly are of the correct speed rating (while the ones on teh D200 are of a lower speed rating for a D390)
And they are cheaper than the michelins (which has also only recently introduced the correct sizes for the KTM series of bikes)
For the highway use, I think the MRF's or even the michelins should suffice.

That sounds great. And anyways I'll only be using the MRF for a month or 2 at worst... Come rainy season it's gonna be or rather gotta be Metzeler.... Those are amazing... Thanks for the help!Originally posted by s1d View PostSorry I haven't used these tires, and i own a Duke 200 which is running on the stock MRF's and they are pretty good tires (not so great in the wet)

Good, and do use them out in the rain too and let me know your feedbackOriginally posted by killer_180 View PostThat sounds great. And anyways I'll only be using the MRF for a month or 2 at worst... I think the ABS on the 390 plays a very important role on keeping the bike planted which sadly is not available on the D200 in India.. the MRF's of the D200 need to get really warmed up before they are good enough in the rains.
I would await on your feedback, since my D200 has crossed the 9000km mark in 5 months and maybe in the next 5-6k km I will be changing the tires.

And The ABS does make a hell of a difference... My 390 has crossed the 15k Mark! I'm hanging on to the last shreds of rubber!!!Ride safe!
