ABS sensor fault issue was another issue that came up it was not related to coolant entering in the engine. Bike is in testing mode now. SVC guys should have found it yesterday itself even I said to them it must be entering in the engine but they denied it. Even I have told them I will not pay for engine oil, since my oil was hardly 500kms old.

Most of the KTM SVCs are like that. When it comes to warranty replacement, they try to charge us one way or the other. If we report it to Bajaj or KTM, I am sure they will screw the bike. If we try to maintain a good rapport with them, it works but they don't even try to listen what we are trying to explain or talk to them, leave alone rapport. How on earth to deal with these annoying guys.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostSir,

True, today I asked them that they should tell where coolant is going that too in so much quantity then only they drained engine oil.Originally posted by joe_marvy View PostMost of the KTM SVCs are like that. Update: Purchased gel seat today. The seat is hard for prolonged periods, like 1 hr. Pics below. Haven't installed it yet.

first be friendly, then be firm (with the service advisor). don't ever blow your steam on the mechanics who do the ground work.Originally posted by joe_marvy View PostMost of the KTM SVCs are like that. tip the mechanic if possible
and write to bajaj customer care if necessary (not for every small thing)
and ALWAYS keep proof of the complaints and work done in WRITING. I have shown you an example of a job card related to my bike on the other discussion.
as suspected.. it looks like they have replaced the water pump and its seals. am surprised that the head gasket wasn't the issue.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostTrue, today I asked them that they should tell where coolant is going that too in so much quantity then only they drained engine oil.
when you decide to drain the mineral, i suggest you run a flushing additive if possible before filling up with FS. And change the oil filter (yes, again) when you are replacing the oil with FS. I would suggest you stick to the 7100.
There is a document called 'self study manual' and also the workshop manual available for download. Please take time to read these two, to understand your bike better.

Sir, they have said me to ride bike for two days and then check the level of coolant if level is unchanged then only they will put FS. I have always preferred 7100 and have not experimented with other oils.Originally posted by s1d View Postas suspected.. it looks like they have replaced the water pump and its seals. am surprised that the head gasket wasn't the issue.
