  • Looking for an off road front fender/mudguard for my '13 Duke 390

I want an off road fender for my duke 390. Broke the stock one offroading, and it was no good anyway in slushy conditions. Trouble is, I cant find any fender to my liking. Locally available ones are probably for the Bullets and have a spade like front, while they are decent functionally, aesthetically they are an eyesore.

I want either the Acerbis NOST fender or something close to it. I even found the Acerbis supermoto Fender to be good.

Where can I find these in India? If not these, is there any other alternative for a good off road fender?
    Regards,

Can someone guide me what exact parts should I ask the SC guys to check for the stalling issue? I'm a noob when it comes to tech section and I'm still learning
I've seen this downshift stalling issue on so many different bikes. And 99% of the time it was because their idling RPM was set extremely low. Check your Idling RPM once. If I'm not wrong, it should be around 1600RPM for the 390s.
This is a very common issue with a simple fix so I just mentioned anyway so that you can rule it out.
For the Speedometer being zero, a faulty speed sensor can also be a reason.

Bought System G yesterday. It's really good. Works. My engine had become so rough. And engine sound was so harsh, like an auto. Noticed improvements to the smoothness, acceleration/ pick-up, etc. Engine sound has become much milder. I'd recommend the product for anyone looking to get relief from rough engine/ harsh engine sound as well as low pick-up. I'm satisfied.
In fact, it feels like the engine is back to the smoothness of First week.

Third day with the bike today. The 0 Speedo issue occured only once today. I'll check with the Service Centre about that.
Also the bike didn't stall on the run today. May be it was User issue for the first two days as I was just getting used to it

And took my ZMR out for a run few mins back and it made it realize how much Hungry the 390 is.

3 tank full and you will see the real fun. i have been using it for 40,000 + km in multiple vehicles.

yep, it does make a noticeable difference in refinement. get hold of a few bottles while its in stock. and use it at recommended dosage.
i have been using it (a few times adon p since system g wasnt available) approx every other fill up for more than a year now (my duke's at 20500km now)
not to mention the other stuff ive experimented with just for the sake of it
              1. abro fuel injector cleaner -- been dumping it just before every service and do a highway run. i dont see a difference in refinement and neither have i seen if it really cleans the injector. at least it hasn't done anything bad thus far. maybe the regular use of system g has negated the effect of this product.
              2. x1r octane booster -- got 2 bottles on some deal on amazon.. that tiny bottle should be good enough for 3 tank fuls.. this again seems to make a marginal improvement in refinement. but is way to expensive so will not be using it.

I had a question. My acceleration is intact, but top speed seems to have declined. Bike doesn't seem to be capable of doing the top speeds it did during the first month before first service. All this started after the first service. I doubt these svc mechanics are good enough. Same thing happened with my ZMR too. Top speed dropped drastically after first service. Did 126 kmph before and after first svc refused to go beyond 110??
I mean is it normal top speed decreases after sometime? In both of my bikes, acceleration is fantastic but top speed has decreased. What might be the reasons for it? Has it happened with your bike too?[emoji15] [emoji15]

I think you're not supposed to test the top speed before first service...

you ride a 390 right ? if so, crossing 130 is pretty effortless on the 390 and the top whack is around 160 ish IIRC.
at first service all that they normally do is replace oil, adjust chain if necessary and wash the bike. were you present when the service was carried out ?
what are the before & after speed figures ?
all i can think of is a faulty reading on the speedo, bad spark plug or maybe they flashed the 200 map on your 390

I ride a D200, and the top speed has always been the 136kmph even after 20000+ km on the odo. Most recent check of the top speed was performed last weekend. Mostly I keep it around the 90's on long rides and once in a blue moon just whack the throttle open for a few seconds to see if it goes all the way up to where its supposed to.

The issue is that the pillion seat is very small and hence its a bit uncomfortable.I am thinking of any work around available like anything that could make the pillion a bit comfortable or can be extended or some sort of panniers or anything that make the pillion seat comfortable.

Note - Already posted on Duke 200 forum but since the bike shares the same geometry(Almost) so though if anyone can help me on this.

Two thing you can do .
Buy tank bag, put some towel below the tank bag [inside i mean ] and in-between both laptop to create cushions to absorbed shocks/jerks on road. i use this one Optimus-S Tankbag - Motorcycle Luggage - Product . Though i never used it for my laptop but i have used it no of time to carry a full size helmet.

Another option is to buy a back-pack which support laptop [normally 1 backpack support 1 laptop only another one you have to adjust in another compartment]. Hope both of your laptop are smaller then 15" or else the weight of 4.5-5kg will be difficult to hold on back. or you guys can buy 2 back-pack. the rider wears in on cheat and the pillion wears it on back.
