    The installation is very easy.
Hey bro. Have you taken the bike for any long ride after installing this seat?
And did this make any big difference?
Planning to get this as I've been riding ZMRs for the past 5 years so I'm sure I'll hate this seat. Need your feedback.
I'm getting the bike in a couple of days.

      Hi guys,

Did a Bangalore - Goa solo ride last weekend. The bike is really fun to ride, loved every bit of it. No body pains whatsoever, the newer seats are so much better and comfortable. There wasn't any butt pain although it was a 1600 Kms ride.

Here is the link to the pictures.

Good pics.. Btw by newer seats which seat you mean? Gel or Powerpart?, I'm thinking of replacing my seat. So your feedback would be useful to me.

The stock seat itself. Newer batch has improved cushioning AFAIK. But again it differs from rider to rider.

Great pics. How much time did it take. Also how are the roads overall.

                  • first ride impression! (used bike, 9300kms odo, 2013 Nov lot)

Got the Beast today. For one who handled ZMRs for half a decade, this is paper weight.
Never crossed 85kmph in the 20kms I did today. The bike was never satisfied, its wanting me to unleash the kraken
When I switched down to 5th from 6th for the first time today, the bike stalled when the clutch was applied (there was no issue after that).
I could feel the heat as I had to ride few kms in the service lane and yes the bike got heated up (but not so much, need to check tomorrow morning in the traffic).
The seat was better than I expected. Time to plan a 400kms ride around Chennai

On an average it takes close to 10 hours. +/- 2 hours depending on the number of breaks. Roads are good. Took the hubli route to enter Goa via Alnavar and returned via Sirsi Haveri Yellapur route. Apart from NH4 the roads were single laned but good enough to maintain decent speeds.

I drive around 40Kms a day(Up,Down) with pillion(Weighing around 50Kgs).We work together and while going to office we both carry laptop.
The issue is that the pillion seat is very small and hence its a bit uncomfortable.I am thinking of any work around available like anything that could make the pillion a bit comfortable or can be extended or some sort of panniers or anything that make the pillion seat comfortable.

Note - Already posted on Duke 200 forum but since the bike shares the same geometry(Almost) so though if anyone can help me on this.

Your gear sensor is at fault here, get it replaced. But before that, try shifting the gears slowly, from one to two and keep it there with the clutch pulled in. Check the odo if it shows any improvement, fiddle with the gear lever up and down (with the bike in second gear) and observe if there are any changes to the odo display. If after everything your odo doesn't show the number, check your gear sensor and get it replaced if required.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Faced the 'stalling when down shifting' issue twice today. Also the Speedometer shows 0 at times (for nearly 20 seconds) but it shows the speed within a minute and its of no problem to me as I rarely look into the speedo.
Can someone guide me what exact parts should I ask the SC guys to check for the stalling issue? I'm a noob when it comes to tech section and I'm still learning

I think you might need to check your stator coil/magneto. Cases here have proven time and again that these are related to stator coil either in the premature wear state or already in the proceess, either way, your coil is to be checked and replaced.

Secondly and the most obvious ones are loose battery terminals, especially the negative terminal. Sometimes loose terminals do cause speedo blackouts and the 0 issue you've mentioned.

                                Cheers!
