Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
There were some stocks in Thane couple of weeks back but yeah if you have transfer it to a different state then it's a pain considering legal and charges to be paid. As far as warranty is concerned, you do not disclose them it's a pre-owned. I did it and have got my stator changed under warranty for D200. Even I was itching for BS3 390 but I did not find it practical for my use so had to let it go. I can still check with dealers here in Thane if you want to give it a try.Originally posted by Wilson4willy View Post

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Yes I agree that there are loads of pre owned D390s available at relatively cheaper or throwaway price in the country but it all depends on where you live. In my state i.e Jharkhand, very few D390s are available(I have been searching in whole state). I know I am going to pay a bit more but I have no other option left. As I said earlier that I have been hunting bike since a very long time and have tried every possibility. Now this is the only option with further negotiation. Will update soon when I will get my hands on the same. ☺Originally posted by prashnagpal View PostI have come across bikes 2016 4-5k for 1.60 after negotiations. So 1.30-1.4 for a nice bike is good i guess

Sir second owner cant claim warranty. Warranty voids if the vehicle is transfered in the name of 2nd owner. Its the policy of KTMs.Originally posted by prashnagpal View PostDid not quite understand: is the warranty not valid on second hand or new bs3 vehicle on discount?

You need show RC book to get you bike serviced. They can not ask you for RC book. And my SVC guy said there is nothing like warranty is void in bike transfer under 2years. Though I never told them mine is pre-ownedOriginally posted by Wilson4willy View PostSir second owner cant claim warranty. Warranty voids if the vehicle is transfered in the name of 2nd owner. Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Sir the owners manual itself says that the warranty can not be enjoyed by the 2nd owner. Though a good relation with the service guy would be very helpful and one just need to take care of his chai-nasta and nobody will ever come to know if youre the 1st, 2nd or 3rd owner under 2 years or 30K kms, whichever comes earlier. Though I was just quoting what actually the truth is. ☺Originally posted by kundalus View PostYou need show RC book to get you bike serviced. They can not ask you for RC book. If warranty is void in case of second owner,, so is the case with bs3 purchase as its also registered in some name though new bike.Originally posted by Wilson4willy View PostWell sir if possible do reply me ASAP about the same. New is new. [emoji5]

The new rotor can be installed on the old one but you'll need to change the caliper in order to accommodate the length of the rotor, along with this the bolt also has to be changed. The caliper pivot remains the same.Originally posted by Wilson4willy View PostIs the rotor of the newer 2017 D390 interchangable with the older ones? I guess because of size difference they might not be interchangable(correct me if I am wrong).
And warranty is only applicable to the first owners.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Sir if you are going to buy a BS3 model from the showroom(if available) then it will be available as a used bike with ZERO ODO reading. Though mechanically it will be new but theoritically and as per the rules it will be a preowned. So preowned means one cant enjoy the warranty.Originally posted by prashnagpal View PostIf warranty is void in case of second owner,, so is the case with bs3 purchase as its also registered in some name though new bike.

I think its possible to use spacers to accommodate the length of the rotor.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThe new rotor can be installed on the old one but you'll need to change the caliper in order to accommodate the length of the rotor, along with this the bolt also has to be changed. Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Hi thanks for your suggestion, I definitely want to go for 320 mm rotor and there is no need to change the callipers the spacers will do the work I have already changed the brake pads to EBC and it has made a world of difference the initial bite is good and overall stopping power has increased but the thing is feel on the lever while it's cold it is still ok but but after riding for some time the lever just looses whatever little feel it has and it starts to completely squeeze in to the point it starts touching my other fingers. The new master cylinder has increased dia to 13mm (correct me if I am wrong)and the feel is much better on that, but I want to go for radial master cylinder.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThe new rotor can be installed on the old one but you'll need to change the caliper in order to accommodate the length of the rotor, along with this the bolt also has to be changed.
