what are the before & after speed figures ?
all i can think of is a faulty reading on the speedo, bad spark plug or maybe they flashed the 200 map on your 390

I ride a D200, and the top speed has always been the 136kmph even after 20000+ km on the odo. Most recent check of the top speed was performed last weekend. Mostly I keep it around the 90's on long rides and once in a blue moon just whack the throttle open for a few seconds to see if it goes all the way up to where its supposed to.
That was till 1st service. After 1st service, they did map the engine with something. After that it's never been the same again. As nicely pointed out by you- feels like a D200 map. Donno.
Btw same thing happened to my earlier bike ZMR as well. I wonder if it's normal on every bike.

It's the same website. Actually, it's universal for petrol engines, be it bikes or cars.
Also, today took out the bike on the highway for the first time after using system g. There's always this huge traffic jam on the Guwahati bypass highway. We all bikes were lining up & raring to have a go at each other. When the traffic policeman gave green signal, we all went out. 3 bikes were ahead of me- Ninja, P220 & Avenger. I overtook all of them one by one. The avenger was the last & the hardest. That guy was revving the hell out of his machine. I arrived first at the end of the Bypass highway on the other side. Never happened with me before. I always get beaten by maniac street guys riding on P220s/180s as I'm a quite smooth & relaxed rider. Maybe the fact that it was raining helped. But, I think system g did some magic too.[emoji23] [emoji23] It makes the bike a lot smoother while accelerating & braking which helps to go fast. I'm not encouraging racing. Just giving a reference.

Need some feedback on the Petrol Additives... mine is 2015 Feb model D390 ridden 10K so far fueled only on Shell (normal petrol)

heard many people uses Additive which improves the bike performance and cleans the fuel injection hope this is real...

      A. iftex clean System 23
      OR
      B. iftex clean System G

or suggest which may be better than this...

Instead of adding additives use premium/Speed petrol it comes by pre added additive,

Same thing happened with my ZMR too. Top speed dropped drastically after first service. Did 126 kmph before and after first svc refused to go beyond 110??
I mean is it normal top speed decreases after sometime? In both of my bikes, acceleration is fantastic but top speed has decreased. What might be the reasons for it? Has it happened with your bike too?[emoji15] [emoji15]
Even i am facing the same problem after second service i think my top speed seems declined.Even though i am going on flat road bike is unable to reach 120.What can i do for this?

Go for system g. I've never seen the '23' on the shelves.. but the system g has some positive reviews from users, including me.

i wouldn't trust these 'premium' fuels. some fuel stations sometimes just dump in regular fuel in the name of premium. I wish these premium fuels had a different color so that one could easily identify them. Personally, I say go for regular fuel + system g.

                Guys where do u stay(city)
Also did they flash with 200 ECU?
In 390 it's impossible it can't cross 120 until flashed by an incorrect ECU or some faulty slark plug

Start using it once you cross 5000km.
I use it every other time. It should be ok even if you use it every-time. But stick to the recommended dose.. i.e. 1ml per litre of fuel.

am not advocating riding fast, but unable to do even 120 on a new 390 is something that needs to be looked into.
worn clutch plates could cause issues, but on a relatively new 390, its unlikely. Only a test ride will throw more information.
It could be rider issue or something like tire pressure, bad fuel etc..

Talking about Premium Fuel - Shell V power is really different. You get better acceleration & also I have always got better average with it. They seem to burn better and help in reduced fuel consumption.

Secondly and the most obvious ones are loose battery terminals, especially the negative terminal. Sometimes loose terminals do cause speedo blackouts and the 0 issue you've mentioned.

The Stalling when downshifting issue is resolved for now, as I give a little throttle when downshifting.

Time to work on the Blank Speedo issue

I haven't seen better acceleration but the engine does run a lot smoother with VPower.

Actually premium fuels do appear slightly rosy red in color as opposed to regular fuels, which normally appear orangish to blue-ish. 95 Speed. I am not sure how it fares on the other side of the spectrum. But premium fuels do have a slightly different color at least when it comes to Bharat Petroleum from what I've experienced. Purely my experience.
@s1d Could you expand on the SYSTEM G usage, apples to apples? What's your overall experience, improvements if any, would be helpful. I'm an atheist when it comes to snake oil injector cleaners, but IFTEX G is one that gives me second thoughts, countless positives. Would you care to share?

                          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          THE END

now that you mention, i faintly remember that the 'speed 95' branded fuel was a slightly different color.
but these days i haven't seen a difference in the regular fuel(91 octane) vs regular fuel+additive (not higher octane fuels).

coming to the system g, its seems to make a positive difference in refinement/throttle response. Especially on the ktm's the difference is very noticeable. You are able to hold onto a gear a tad bit longer (more rpms) before up-shifting.
Lets take the case of my D200 (bone stock with just regular services and plug replaced every 10k km)
It's done close to 21000km in 1.5 years and system g has been used from around after the first service. Haven't had any issues such as overheating, or hiccups and neither has the throttle body or injectors been touched for service. I get a consistent FE of 32~35 both in city and highway (at consistent speeds of 85-92kmph with short stretches done at around 100kmph). If I drop the speed down to a consistent early 80's the FE goes up to 39kmpl. These are real world FE figures and not readings from the console.
I hasn't caused any issues so far, and I continue to use it every other time. A bunch of my friends also use this and their reviews are also positive. I can't say for sure if its 'cleaning' anything (because i haven't seen the internals on my engine, which i may soon) but based on the end result in terms of refinement/throttle response, my experience has been good.
                            It's worth giving it a shot !
