Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Here are the pics after installation. The cushion is very good and gel is super soft. I haven't got a chance to ride the bike for long hours after putting this on, will be doing that by this weekend and let you know if its worth it.Originally posted by Veeral View Post

The coolant which comes with the bike should be enough for this summer as well. Last Friday, I rode the bike in heavy traffic at peak afternoon (around 2:30PM, it was around 35C) over 1.5Hrs and the temperature bar was always at the second last bar and fan was switching on few times. I highly advice you to lube your chain every 500 or 750Kms else the sprocket life will be drastically reduced. On my previous bike, I didn't and had to change the sprocket set twice under 35,000Kms.Originally posted by wrecker View PostLive to Ride!

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Dropped the bike for the first time😩 Not really dropped, more like laid her down easy.
Was riding off road a bit (the path way to a friend's house) and it was a climb. A small stone under the front wheel slipped and the bike slid into a craves on the path. The bike tilted and I couldn't do much about it as my hands don't do my bidding very well lately( friend's have taken me to a gym in the name of preparing me to handle a "big bike" 😅, it has been 4 days and my arms do the opposite of what I intend. ). All I could do was slow done the progress induced by gravity. Funny that the crash guard is scratch less but the left hand side of the crank case wasn't so lucky. Kind of sad that I scratched her up. But glad that I didn't break any of the levers.

I have been using it for more than two month now. The quality of the seat and materials is quiet good.Originally posted by peeths003 View PostThank you so much bro. Have book marked it. Please let me know your thoughts aftet using it. Wanna know the feed back.

It does improve comfort but don't expect that you will suddenly be as comfortable as sofa cushions
IMO, go for it - its worth the 2500 bucks it costs.KTM Duke 390 | RE Interceptor 650

Thanks for the info. I definitely feel this more comfortable than stock. At least you wouldn't get arse pain after riding with this seat. Can you tell me if you have used this in rain? Will it absorb water or is it water resistant?Originally posted by timuseravan View PostI have been using it for more than two month now. The quality of the seat and materials is quiet good.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
Engine Ice does its job so well because it cools primarily because of the presence of distilled water in a proportion greater than usual coolants ( distilled water and corrosion inhibitors, antifreeze make coolant. All cooling is through water only). Period. In tests conducted abroad, it was found that if EI is added to normal coolants, it hardly, if any, makes a difference. Only when distilled water is used as coolant and then EI added to it does it make a difference.
Doing this also led to certain problems, as Chemicals used in EI do not offer the kind of corrosion protection that normal coolants do. Think about it, heat is the enemy to all high performance engines, if EI were that good, wouldn't high performance engine manufacturers use it from the factory itself?
Ultimately make your own decision, if you want to use it, read instructions and follow them to the letter. The entire cooling system is to be flushed of previous coolant, then another flush using distilled water, then EI.
