They might ask you to pay for the labour.Just ignore it.Don't pay a penny for labour instead pay 100 if you wish to the guy who will fix this.If they say labour has to be paid for such things straight away ignore it.

are the pirelli diablo rosso II available for the rear and is anyone using it??
and also

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
I've heard this squeaking sound in most of the Rc's and Duke's I've come across. Mechanics generally rubs the pads on a sand paper and the sound goes away for few days. The mechanic told me that ktm is introducing new brake pads in 2016 models. You can ask them to change yours to the new ones, if they have them in stock.Originally posted by Arjun555 View Postwhat do you do if theres squeaking sound from your discs when you apply brake?

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences
I always believed in hard break in and the Duke was up quick Oil and filter change. The ODO was 240Kms. I had revved the engine up to 7.5k RPM and used engine breaking many a times. I rode up to 110kmph and let the bike rev down on its own and by downshifting gears whenever required. I went to Autoservice at Banashankari 2nd stage with 2Ltr of Motul 5100 15-50 oil. The stock oil was black in color (though it still had life, it was dirty and light black). It had the color of oil that I had on my RTR when I rode it for around 1500 Kms. The filters had a lot (really a lot!) of metal pieces in them and the oil filter looked like it worked overtime. May be this is why I believe on hard break-in
? Old oil was neatly drained and 1.5Ltr of new oil was put in the engine with a new Oil filter. Chain had lot of play when I took the delivery, it was taken care of as well.
When I rode the bike, I instantly felt the engine was smooth and so was gear shifting. The bike didn't heat up much. On the way to service center, the radiator fan was switching on many times and the temperature bar reached to last second bar. After oil change, the fan would come up only when I stop at traffic signal and would go away before I start moving. The temperature bar reached to second last only after riding for sometime and the bike was definitely cooler than before. Supervisor up there told me that they use 100Rs Bajaj engine oil for KTM's but the Kawasaki's come with synthetic oil from factory
. The guys at the service center had good knowledge and friendly too. He let me inside service bay and told me he would even show me how to service the bike if I wanted to, when I get the bike for 1st service. Next up is to ride the bike upto 8.5 to 9K RMP before 1st service (and to use good amount of engine breaking) and then shift to Motul 300V during the 1st service.

This service center is under 1km from where I stay and this is where I get my RC390 repaired/serviced. Mr. Babu is the In-charge there, he's a very friendly person. As for the technicians, yes, they are quite skilled and do a very tidy job. The only gripe I have with this service center is washing and polishing but I can definitely live with that!Originally posted by Skanda View PostI always believed in hard break in and the Duke was up quick Oil and filter change. Nice to hear good feedback on them as I am thinking of getting 1st service done here. I spoke with Mr.Babu today and he seemed very informative. The service I received and staff behavior was way better than what I saw in KTM Banashankari. I think even I can live with the washing part if it's not too bad, but the service should be excellent.Originally posted by thrustrev View PostThis service center is under 1km from where I stay and this is where I get my RC390 repaired/serviced. Congrats on the Bike!!Originally posted by Skanda View PostThe not so good part:
1. Seats are comfortable only for short rides as it is really hard. I ordered REdline+ gel seat for rider hoping it will solve this problem.
2. Handle bar is hard as well! Got some rubber grips installed from JC road.
3. Bought a wind shield for 2.3k as I was experiencing wind blast even at 100kmph.
4. The bikes slow downs very quickly after you leave the throttle with no brakes applied. On reaching 100, if I leave the throttle, the bike bike would come to 70's and 60's very quickly compared to other and my old bike. This was a bit annoying.
5. Small fuel tank for touring!
The bike temperature was at last but second bar most of time even during b2b traffic. It reached to last but one bar very rarely. The radiator fan used to kick in few times to cool the bike down. But had no trouble of bike starting nor stopping due to high temperature. Even when wearing shorts, the engine's heat or hot air that was blowing out was not an issue.
The Redline does improve seating comfort but don't expect miracles. The engine braking is much reduced as compared to previous model years without the slipper clutch - but if you learn to ride it well you can shift this point to the Pro and not the Con of the bike!KTM Duke 390 | RE Interceptor 650

Yes there is no other alternate for better cooling. Its not a ;problem with the Cooling system. Its just that its a high compression engine and nothing can be done.I have een people putting Engine Ice Cool coolant and it seems it works like wonders. You cna try that.I have seen on forums like Ninja 300 650 etc so it must be a good coolant. You cna definately try that and see the results.
You can service it anywhere in India, just carry your Service booklet(And bill in case they ask).BTW where are you shifting to?
