Just wanted to ask whether the seat height can be lowered by adjusting suspension in anyways?

The svc guy told me softer suspension will lower seat height when you sit on the bike.Originally posted by judebrent View PostJust wanted to ask whether the seat height can be lowered by adjusting suspension in anyways?Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

judebrent Hi, I'm also planning to book mine by 10th of this month. By what date the showroom guys has told you to deliver the bike?Originally posted by judebrent View PostSo after a lot of research and shorting agony, I've decided to go in for a new Duke 390 as I feel it's value for money, has an upright seating, okay pillion seat and dual channel ABS, which was one of my main requirements. I just checked with Kawasaki KTM, at Mumbai, Andheri(E) and he told me it's 2,21,000 On Road Mumbai? I thought it was between 2,10,000 or so? Please can someone guide me here... You'd be surprised by the quality of the cbr and not in a good way at all like me and my cbr group realised the hard way.

I was/am stuck in similar fashion between the 2 bikes and my heart says D390, only concern is the pillion just abut enough and comfortable? I ride around 17 KMS a day, that's all, may go to 55 max to max!

Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. You just have to turn the ring on rear suspensionOriginally posted by judebrent View PostAny idea by how much & how long is the entire process?Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Short stints will not be a problem. But if you get stuck in traffic, you'll either blame KTM or yourself or your pillion. Your elbows and crotch will take the beating.Originally posted by judebrent View PostGot it, how's the overall pillion comfort? Whilst the seat looks small, it doesn't seem some bad!
Forget about highway. Pillion seat is useless, no cushion at all. Should just put on a cowl to give a reason for not carrying a pillion.

I will get married at the end of this year & pillion will have a role to play, if it's unusable then I'll have to consider my other shortlist, that being a CBR 250R ABS!Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostShort stints will not be a problem. I suggest you do. I have a hard time ferrying my friends around and have even said outright that I can't. This bike's compact and made only for single riding.Originally posted by judebrent View PostI will get married at the end of this year & pillion will have a role to play, if it's unusable then I'll have to consider my other shortlist, that being a CBR 250R ABS!

I do the same, this has made so many people call me rude and selfish but nobody understands that it is not meant to carry a pillion, and they have no idea the toll it takes on the riderOriginally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostI suggest you do. Everybody is different and has different comfort level, i suggest you take a test ride in heavy traffic and highway with a pillion to see how it is for you.Originally posted by judebrent View PostA friend who owns it, has taken his wife from Mumbai to Lonavala, Bhandardara with luggage and is full of praise for the pillion, saying it's fine enough. It's good enough I'd say. A little bit more space would've been welcome. Today itself went with my friend to DT Office for number plate. Roamed around for 35-40 kms. No problem at all for me.Originally posted by judebrent View PostA friend who owns it, has taken his wife from Mumbai to Lonavala, Bhandardara with luggage and is full of praise for the pillion, saying it's fine enough. It's more for the rider than pillion. But on long rides, pillion also suffers due to poor cushioning and sheer torque.Originally posted by judebrent View PostA friend who owns it, has taken his wife from Mumbai to Lonavala, Bhandardara with luggage and is full of praise for the pillion, saying it's fine enough. Also, it depends on height I think, I'm 6'1. And I get compressed with a pillion, just hate it.Last edited by Gunslingin_Ridr; 01-04-2016, 03:39 PM.
