Yes, the stock bulbs are pretty good. In my earlier ZMR, stock 35w bulbs were useless. Went to the bike store to install Philips 55w. The technician installed a white HID instead. I must say it's the best I've used till date.

Ur happy with the stock horn??? [emoji16] [emoji4] I hate it. It should at least perform well. But, it cracks under sustained pressing. Seems like a scooty horn. Need to find a gud sweet sounding dual horn. Hate the trumpet sound of Roots Windtone (seemingly most popular horn these days).
I'll not plonk a white light for sure. Installed it in my earlier bike. Want to remain part of the crowd.

Update: I didn't cross 70 kmph till now during run-in. Ripped the bike yesterday during a ride at 100-110+ on the highway (max 140kmph) and results are astonishing. Bike has freed up alot. Earlier, it felt like the engine was clogged. Now, it feels like the whole engine has opened up.[emoji5] Pickup has increased dramatically. I wonder if this is the proper way to break-in your engine.
Why did not cross 70kmph ??
Dnt baby much. You can easily ride at 90-100 on 6th gear. All you have to take care is you dnt cross 7.5k rpm.
Not only Great power comes with great responsibility but also with Great RISK !!! Referring to SBKs...

Hello guys, facing one more issue, day before yesterday I had a ride of around 150km and when I returned home I saw coolant was empty ( I could say nil ), took bike to SVC next day they topped up but today morning when I checked it again coolant was at min level again. What fault could be ? Coolant mixing with engine oil ?

Get it checked for leaks, hope it isn't mixing with the engine oil! Keep us posted... do visit the SVC again..

Which is a good windscreen for the D390, is the Fazer windscreen a direct fit? Thanks

UPDATE : Coolant & overheating issue which I was facing was because of yet another faulty radiator fan, when I went to SVC today they again insisted me everything is fine but when I forced them to check bike again, bike shut off at neutral after 5-6 minutes. New fan was installed and air flow in this fan is downwards.

It's very frustrating to visit SVC every now and then for these types of issues, I really doubt long term reliability of this bike.

A small advice to Ktm-bajaj from my side increase prices of bikes around 15-20k but eliminate these issues.

I have attached pic of old radiator fan. Click image for larger version

Which year did u take the delivery of the bike? I have heard n seen many Duke 390s having this issue of shutting off, one was a cylinder fault, overheating, etc, 2015 models have a new radiator fan, slipper clutch, duno how much of a difference it has made.

My bike was of July 2014 batch, 2015 batch owners can share their experiences.

What did the SVC's say? Tried any warranty claims to help resolve the issue?

Yup radiator fan was replaced under warranty but my question is how many time would you go for these issues to SVC and waste your time.

Yeah, I have the same thing at the back of my mind! When do you mostly ride? What time of the day? Is it in the hot sun, lot of traffic?

My riding hours are not fixed but it starts at 10:30 am and ends at 6-6:30pm but due to nature of my job I have to go many places both in and out of the city, I have R15 V2 also and of 3.5 yrs of ownership I just have to take care of its regular maintenance no issues so far.

TBH, a bike should work at any point of the day! We aren't riding it in the UAE, etc for it to heat up so much and stall! I am speechless! Pressurize the SVC, ask fro a new engine, what else!

Sure, how many times have you had the fan replaced before? A friend from Pune told me his radiator always keeps running!

I think it's third time last I replaced was 6 months back. If you are interested in buying D390 do consider 2015 batch owners views also they can best describe the current scenario.

What's the reason that the SVC guys give for the fan konking off?
