Its been about 2 years, I haven't received the bike or the booking amount as of 16-Sep-2016.
That's a very long time to be sitting without taking legal action.
Have you emailed [email protected] and customerservice@bajajauto.co.in ??
Also forward the emails to [email protected] and [email protected]
And it's high time you contacted a lawyer and send a legal notice to bajaj.

You should understand that beyond a point, one shouldn't rely too much on these social media stuff to fix your problems.
Keep all the emails as proof and continue to write to them irrespective of whether you get a reply or not.. and this will serve as documentary proof along with the legal notice.

And btw, ktm india's fb page is this https://www.facebook.com/indiaktm/

I would appreciate a referral to a lawyer if you know of who specializes in such cases. Thanks.

I do not have any contacts in Thane (assuming that's where you are put up).
Make an effort to go over this website ncdrc.nic.in (check out contact info for your district consumer forum)
and also lodge a complaint here Register-Consumer Complaint

Speed showing 0 is a common issue for old consoles. This is confirmed as many are facing it, and this problem develops over time. Newer consoles should not have it. The console change (hopefully within warranty) should rectify it, that's what KTM service of my city tells me.
Stalling while downshifting is again a common issue. There's a DIY over the internet for it, which voids warranty. For me, it had improved over time, or maybe I learned to live with it.

Does a tight chain cause foot peg vibrations?
My chain was loose, so I decided I'd give it to the service center since my service was due. The bike was smoother (vibes) before the service. On checking the chain tension, it feels really tight.

yup, it does. make sure the chain slack is at-least at the recommended level (check manual for the correct slack). even with the correct slack there will be a bit of a 'buzz' at the pegs which will go away after a couple 100km. i personally prefer a bit more (around +5mm) slack than the recommended.

Hi guys. Just booked the Duke 390! Dealer quoted Rs20,000 as the booking amount. Bike would be delivered in two weeks' time.

Two weeks?! Isn't that excessive? Doesn't the dealer have stock?

                      Hi Everyone

I have started looking at the duke 390 as a possible used option touring bike. I would like to know from owners on how long the bikes engine lasts because while I am aware that the duke can cruise at entry triple digit speeds with ease I dont know how many miles I would be able to cover on the bike before the engine throws up issues (can it last like the CBR250r to 1 lakh kms?). This is mostly because I haven't seen dukes with over 35000 kms in mileage even in the used market (not considering odometer fraud).

Also I would like to know the warranty given over the duke 390 and whether it can be transferred to the second owner. I am currently looking at used slipper clutch version of the duke.

Thanks in advance for your help.

                        Getting an used bike?
                        1. Get from a known person or
                        2. Pray you should not get a lemon.
In my eyes at least, the Dukes are the most abused bikes. So make sure you get it from a Biker than a Street Junkie.

They've identified my speedo sensor to be faulty. But I've to know whether I can use the latest version's sensor in my bike as its a 2013 model.
And I hope you're talking about the Throttle body cleaning for the Stalling. I'm yet to do it. Thank you

I think you can.. and it costs 460rs iirc. Am sure the svc would order the right part or just look up the part number in the parts manual just to be sure.
And every ktm svc will be having the parts manual.

At this point, its still unclear to me, because despite mine too being a first lot 2013 model, I never had a console problem for some reason. One guy changed something on his bike, and the bike now shows lesser speeds as it progresses up the speed... It could be the speedo sensor maybe.
