@ ullal_h
I won't be the right person to say anything about the suspensions.
I myself have replaced the rear with oem's and they don't last long either.
you'll feel great only for the first few weeks.
Personally the igrs shocks of hunk and karizma zmr's are the best overall.
Even suzuki gs150R's are pretty great, but can't be sure if they'll be good on a fiero.
Softer suspensions tend to make the bike feel loose and not very planted, so I never liked it personally, most of the fiero guys have changed the rear suspension with that of the apache's and everyone are happy with that...
I guess other members will put some more light on this.
Paintjob, well black engine sure looks great, but I can't say weather the chain guard in black will look any better...
Dupont is the best color you can put up on any bike...
You can visit any paint shop and look for color options in Dupont, you'll know how good they are.Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

I'll surely check out Apache shocks. I agree hero honda bikes have softer suspension. The pulsar shocks in local shops costs Rs1400 for a pair whereas at the showroom it was Rs1800. I'm sure apache shocks are much more expensive. The paintjob makes it look sophisticated as well. DUpont is the brand of paint you were advicing right?

iGRs shocks are very expensive, but they sure are much much better.
I think apache one will cost you a hell lot too, it would be worth to buy el-cheapo pulsar ones and change them much frequently rather, but again its your own preference.
If anyways you are spending more, iGRs should be worth every penny.
DUpont is a brand, and it costs more than conventional paints, but it doesn't get scratched easily and the shade remains as good as new for years to come.Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

For the valve clearance, get it set to the RTR setting, that's what i've been doing.Inlet .06mm and exhaust .08mm .From what you're saying it most likely is a carb tuning issue.Get it tuned on a Co machine and stop getting the mech to play around with it. Sorry for the delay in replying.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostHappy New Year to All-hope you and your machines are going strong!
Quick question-does anyone know what are the values for inlet and exhaust valve clearances for F2? I couldn't find it in the manual.
The recent valve replacement coupled with wrong clearance settings has made the bike behave funnily once heated up-idle fluctuation, engine heating and loss of power.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

Hi. So is there no difference between the BS26 for Pulsar and Fiero? I thought the jets would be different. Please shine some light on this.

I end up cleaning the carb almost every month.
As far as the performance is considered, there's no difference. As long as its been a while and you don't need to open up your carb again and again to clean it, its alright.
You can keep what you already have...Ride it like you stole it! But buy your own helmet.

Ullal,
I was thinking of going in for a BS26 from Pulsar too because the Fiero carb is a little too expensive. How was the experience though? Might try it.

Exactly 2 years ago my carb was behaving inappropriately. Hence resorted to Old Pulsar Carb BS26 as it was much much cheaper than a new fiero carb. Recently came through a specs and review of the fiero somewhere online. It clearly stated the the working of the CV nature of the carb in fieros. Now could anyone tell me if its better I buy a new fiero carb altogether?Ride it like you stole it! But buy your own helmet.

thanks man..Originally posted by prd8r View PostVignesh. Always good to see your bike killing it in the dirt bro!
What new stuff have you been working on besides the paint job?
My bike hasn't undergone any changes since my injury. It has a whacky throttle response and seems to get better with every time I ride it. Regarding the paint job, it was just a spray paint can costing just 170 rs
.. Soon, I am going to get an apache and prepare if for drag.. Wish I get a bulky incentive this month!!

For making the RMP meter to work, you have to convert to TCI. If you have done that, I'll let you know how to do it. I have the wiring details of apache and fiero. We can match them and make it work(it may workOriginally posted by max007 View PostGoing through the thread post by post from the date of registration in to this forum till covered 244 pages will finish soon .

). For the speedo, you have to change your front wheels to alloys of that of apache(and back wheels as well if you don't like the RIM/ALLOY combination
) If that is done, easy peazy... No issues with the fuel gauge.. But it would be better if someone who has done it guides you!! Nano, Tum kahan hun??(RIP HINDI

Well thats a lot of work to do then
.. But why apache alloys buddy ? For tci conversion what all should be done and if possible a rough price details pls .
And BTW my fiero has done 1.7 lakh kms in stock bore still in good condition except the mileage dipped to 35-40 kmpl mark.
will write a short story about my boy soon.Last edited by max007; 02-16-2013, 01:22 PM.
