Did you search for the original ones? What was their cost, if they were available?

    Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion, i will have this checked. I found the original shocks from one of the TVS dealer and the cost of it is 1600.00 for a paid. Which shocks are better Victor GLX gas shocks or original shocks?

Thanks again for the time and suggestion.

      Hello guys
Can anyone confirm if it's possible to fit fiero's spoked wheels to Apache RTR 160? Any modifications required?

Hey. You're welcome. If you're getting the original ones for that price, then you can use those. It will give you a peace of mind and your bike will look original. These are oil damped. Glx ones will be slightly stiffer and they are gas damped. So, the choice is yours.
Ride it like you stole it! But buy your own helmet.

          Hi Prd8r,

Makes sense to use the original ones.

Thanks again for your time Buddy

Guys I am AJ from Mumbai, picked my fiero f2 for 10k.. It is my first bike, (used to borrow from friends when i was in hostel for 4 years) I was looking for something emotional rather than boring Hondas. Following this thread since last 20 days... Drove 2500 kms in 20 days, includes a 500km one day trip to pune and back... Bike runs great... Was managing 80-90 on highways.. Didn't push it further, the headlamp is a boon very powerful even after 15 years now.. I am planning to keep it forever.. M in love. My queries are as follows

            1. Spares (mechanical spares) clutch plates etc...

            2. Tyres currently on very old ceat securas and I am satisfied. Need you bike gods to enlighten me more

            3. Oil, she needs a service after 2500 kms.. Didn't spend a penny after buying, how is motul

            4. Any other nakhre I should be aware off?

Thanks in advance, you people are my family now

              Nice to see
Bike has been well maintained by previous owner that it went 2500 km ,without spending single penny
              1. spares vary city to city cant say
read above threads for alternatives which are a direct fit for fiero
              2. Check the sidewalls of tyre if they have cracks on it replace it
              dont take risk with tyres
3.Motul is best ,but make sure you use correct grade of oil
              4. I dont think any nakhras would be there as
              its a very uncommon thing
10 year old bike, 2500 km ridden no money. spent

              best of luck!

4000kms update, head spits oil when I was doing top speed run, oil is motul 20w40.
Another major issue is changing chain sprocket, stock one I am getting for 800/- whole set, any other sprocket assembly I can go for which is direct fit?.
And bike splutters when I am on 20% throttle, doesn't splutter anywhere else only on that exact 20% spot, current issue perhaps? Will new plugs solve it?

                  • Re: Fiero/FieroF2/FieroFx

                    For head leak:
Your oil is fine. Sounds like your gasket packing is blown. That's when the oil starts seeping out. The valve gap setting covers have O rings. Those could have gone too. Or the gasket sealant might have become old. All this is minor work. So you can fix it at a mech easily within one hour and low cost. Cam cover (round black circle) will also be needed to be bought for the job.

                    For chain:
Install original fiero chain and sprocket set if you want fewer headaches. If you want more top speed, use the front sprocket from yamaha ybx. It has 14 teeth. Fiero has 13 teeth. You'll get slighty less pick up and slightly more mileage.

                    For sputtering:
Try cleaning your air filter first. Replace with new elements if old one is torn or damaged. Oil lightly with 2T oil if you install new foam filter. Then clean the air manifold pipe between the carb and airbox. Then clean your fuel filter near the petrol tap. Then open your drain nut under your carb sediment bowl. Then tap your carb with a screwdriver. Dust may have settled inside your fuel and air system.

Ride the bike and see if sputter is still there. If it's still there, clean your carb with kerosene or petrol. Clear all the fuel and air jets and lightly oil the diaphragm and piston with 2T oil.

If sputter is still present, then clean your spark plug or try a new one.

Lube your acce cable or install new one. Put one drop 2T oil on your TPS piston under the tank. Ride and check for smooth throttle play.

Last, check your current and electrical system.

Quick question - Has anyone tried fitting the 200 cylinder kit on the Fiero? What is the current going rates for the 200 Kit in showrooms.

Wanted to stop the oil leakage hence visited the mechanic, he put some adhesive between O rings of tappet adjustment nuts, and it was done, the sad part is that he had also opened the valve cover god knows why and then when he put it back, there was whirring noise of timing chain I think so I went to another mechanic he put it right, but now there is seepage from valve cover and head gap, the oil was leaking on the exhaust and there were fumes all over, went to the mechanic again, he tightened the bolts, still there is seepage, I think there Is a crack near bolt area, kindly guide...

There is absolutely no difference in the wiring kits of the bikes you have mentioned.
Just make sure to insist on KS model kit, as ES model kit is a bit different.
Besides OEM, a company called SWISS also makes the wiring kit I guess.
