The video was nice and helpful. Do post how is the performance of the bike after putting the motul 20w50 full synthetic engine oil.
BTW is the crashguard of any different bike which you are using? Looks quite good, and if possible do a walkaround of the mods which you have done to the bike.

The crash guard was provided by the dealer them self. Sure will do a walk around of my bike and post.

I am planning to buy this bike, but I'm concerned that without a kick starter will they be a problem later? Also how do we have to maintain the battery?

Don't worry in this bike they use Electronic starting system not the shelf starter which other bike use, so there won't be any problem with the draining of the battery abruptly.

A fair few people did on the original version, not too sure of v2.0.

Not much to be gained in any case from the installation of merely an aftermarket pipe on any 150cc motor, apart from a not-so-pleasant decibel increase. There might be a minor bump in power but that will be negatively offset by a reduction in the engine life.

Still, if you want to try a different exhaust, the only half decent one i ever came across was the Daytona FFE which was available at Yamaha SVCs itself. Not too sure if they still stock them.

                  Hello xbhpians,
Today, i bought a fz version 2.0 black colour in lucknow, got all the necessary things like mannual, mirrors, saree gaurd, warranty book, first aid kit and tool kit but in tool kit i only got one wrench, one screwdriver without any plastic head and one more cylindrical sort of spanner which is used with a extension i dont know the name of it in the kit but when i was back at home and going through mannual i saw the tool kit being pictured with total 5 tools but i got only 3 so please can anyone of you confirm how many tools come inside the factory suppiled tool kit pouch?
Can some one tell me how to attach pics in post when using xbhp mobile site through browser on smartphone?
Sorry this is my 2nd post in this forum so pardon me if i made any mistake or broke any rule of this forum.
                  Thanks

As far as I know, there should be three wrench, one screw driver with plastic head, and that cylindrical spanner you mentioned. If there are less items then contact the dealer.

Thanks I will contact the showroom guys tomorrow and see if they agree or give me some bogus reason :/
Mine is a new 2017 variant with AHO and without any tyre hugger, just a longer rear mudgaurd, feels so smooth to ride this is my first bike i find difficulty in slotting the neutral rest everything is really good as my riding experience of geared 2 wheelers was less then 80-100km before the purchase and about 60k kms on a gearless scooter so i have fine amount of road sense but not habitual of riding bikes, so i am in learning process but still got comfortable and confident within 5kms of first ride, excellent balance, handling and good feel of break on break lever which took away my fear of riding a bike with disc brakes, really excellent throttle sensitivity, i mean even a mm of movement is enough for progress or slow down, so much better then other carb and my daily ride(scoot) so much that now it feels like their is freeplay in accelerator of carb bikes even at time of operation, Great beginner's bike am happy with my choice, it's not overpriced, it's not underpowered its a solid yamaha worth the price, 150cc bikes are not for slight marginal comparisons ,but more about personal choice and ergonomics
                      Thanks.

                          • Fazer fi Tappet noise issue

hi guys i own fazer fi. I have done 15k kms on odo.Last service done at 14k kms.I experienced some rattling noise when i go above 80 km/hr speed also had some performance drop while switching gears. The mechanic at yamaha svc said it is tappet noise and adjusted it .for a day the noise was gone but after 70 kms it is back again it is there only around speed like 80 kms/hr.I am planning kanyakumari to kashmir ride this month. My mechanic said this noise is not a problem(i cannot hear it inside helmet or when engine is idle).Do anyone else experience this?. Any solution? Thanks.

Congrats. Bike looks amazing in flesh.

I somehow find the rear ladies-foot peg shitty, the older one was better IMHO. Happy Riding.

I own a Fazer fi too. Have done the tappet adjustment myself once but with no results. The tappet noise just cannot be removed from this engine, may be design issue. But definitely no performance issues of any sort.

As you are planning a long trip, go ahead and replace the sparkplug and air filter, its not very costly.

Try using a bottle of PEA carbon remover with a full tank to clean your injectors without any fuss. I recently used one on my bike and the response feels better now. My morotcycle has 26,000+ on Odo. Happy Riding

Thanks for the reply.I hope tappet noise won't bring issues to engine in this trip.I have changed spark plug and air filter at 12k kms so i guess no need to replace them now.Apart from brake pads, chain, tyres and cone set is there anything i should check for this trip ?. Is amaron 5Ah battery good enough for our bikes? thanks.
