newer one recommended engine oil is 20w40 api or jaso ma grade bro. running instruction is below 4.5k rpm till first 1000km viz breaking period after you can rip her out

just change your bike engine oil by local mechanic (he will charge you 10 or 20rs only) with synthetic properties (castrol Active 20w40). if everything goes ok with your bike.
else go for entire servicing. and do change your engine oil again in your upcoming service. because its still a new engine. all the best have a safe and happy journey.

I saw a carbon remover solution (yamalube branded) at the dealer today. They said that needs to be added to fuel in order to clean the injectors. Will give it a try sometime.

I did not find a OBD port in the ECU below the rear seat.

I am hearing 1st time from you that A pulsar clocked 90k kms with the stock chain and 70k kms with stock rear sprocket. An FZ-S requires a chain sprocket replacement at 16k if maintained with kerosene & gear oil EP90 (desi cheap solution) and 18-20k max if maintained with Motul kits. If you are buying motul chain spray & lube for 1000/- plus brush worth 200/-, totally 1200/- to lubricate chain to last around 20k kms. Then why not buy a whole new sprocket set worth 1595/- (1020/- chain + 350/- rear + 125/- front sprocket ).
Service center guys always try to extra-tighten the chain which will cause you to replace chain at only 10k.
Do not blindly throw bikes to service centers to maintain everything. Do learn some DIY brother..

Knowledgeable members dont seem to answering on this thread anymore.. disappointing
Kerosene & motul Lube - Chain has run over 18000 kms So far. Atlmost I can tighten it one last time after which I need to replace the whole set.

Not satisfied with the Chain sprocket quality of Fazer v2.0.

My Yamaha Gladiator chain is running for last 6 years, done over 77000 kms.

Not starting in gears means clutch switch is faulty and the rear light you can adjust the brake light actuater that will be near the brake lever both front and rear. Elaborate more on the engine stalling issue

Today I went to showroom with my friend as he was going to buy fz V2 and I observed a red color cable, as shown in the image. This cable is not present in my fz, which I brought almost 1 year back. Any idea what this cable for? And is only my bike missing this?

The service cente guys today told me to change my chain as well as sprocket. The bike had only run for 12k kms. One noticeable fact though that the scale in the swing arm is on the last bar of tightening. So is it really the time to change the chain and sprocket? There is no noticeable wear in the sprocket. I'm surprised to hear that the chain is in its last lag in just 12k kms! I ride normally. No sudden acceleration and braking. Have not changed the chain yet. Is it possible to remove one link of the chain and then use the chain for another 2 or 3k kms?

Removing one link is not advisable.
The best way is to change your chain sprocket kit.

93k I guess on road hyd almost 2 years back. 54kmpl varies on riding . checked only once..could have changed. No problem so far..only thing that you could get a chance to replace is air scoop. Those things are delicate from inside..can fix it with feviquick..would cost toy 650 per piece..

Live like you mean it, then get a bike!
