What mileage could be expected if the bike is ridden in the above said rpm?

Is it necessary to replace the oil filter once in every 2.5k kms?

    Thanks
    Expect 65kmph for 4k, 75 for 4.5k and 82 for 5k. Recent readings on a 8k+ Fz-fi stock.

Headwinds are tough, but they don't disturb the stability. Crosswinds don't even matter, the bike sticks to tarmac like in a fevicol ad.

If you cross 5k rpm, expect mileages around 32Kmpl, because there is a lot of loss of energy in the drag.
If, as you said, you're clocking above 5k rpm+ and riding in dusty conditions (almost everywhere in india), it is highly recommended to change the oil filter.

I exactly don't remember how much it used to do in 4 & 4.5k RPMs ... but at 5k it does 64 kmph (which is true 60 kmph on GPS).

Fazer is okayish with head and cross winds. The wind screen is not high enough to prevent wind buffeting on helmet though.

The bike will stay above 40 kmpl majority of the time. If brutally ridden might go below 40 kmpl.

For my sane riding mileage figures are hovering around 47 - 52 kmpl most of the time. Please note that I am not a slow rider and do enjoy revving the butter smooth motor.

Oil filter needs to be replaced at ever oil change which is 3000 kms interval. The cost of the oil filter is just 40 Rs.

Why are our figures so different?

No idea. Try calibrating your speed with a GPS. If you are claiming 82kmph @5k ... then you should be doing 180 kmph by 9200 RPMs.

It does around 80 at 6K rpm. Mileage would be 45+ always under 100 whether u rip or ride sanely ...I found very less variation in mileage thanks to fi

Suppose I have buy the new bike so is it necessary to complete 1000km within 30 days.
I mean is it good to complete 1000 km before 1st service or it doesn't make any difference.

It is best to go 800-1000k before the first service, so that the run-in can be unofficially over, and the bike will become butter smooth. The best thing you'd like to do is take a ride out of the city whenever you get time. The run-in will be perfect.

There was an attempt to steal my bike last week. Thinking of installing anti-theft alarm.. Any recommendations?
