And good to hear that you are getting such a good mileage, it may be because the official yamaha website claims that the 2017 fz gives 14% better mileage than the previous models.
I own a 2015 fzs v2 astral blue and on some long highway runs I managed to touch 52Kmpl, but the place where I stay due to heavy traffic I never get more than 44- 45Kmpl which i think is quite decent for a 150cc commuter that too with a 140 section rear tyre
That was my assumption and not precise calculation and after reading your message that this version gives 14% more i started doing calculations and i am still not able to believe that i got near about 61-62 kmpl so even after minor errors in calculation as i am not so familiar with the fuel meter and tank( though i know it is of 12l and the last bar blinks when nearly 2.4l fuel is left) i can vouch that i am getting atleast 58-60kmpl for sure, feeling happy 😊

How do you calculate the mileage? The most appropriate way is by setting the trip meter to 0 while filling the fuel and again when you fill the tank next time fill it to the full and divide the distance on the trip meter by the quantity of oil you filled.
I think you are doing something wrong while calculating 61-62kmpl is quite impossible on fz .

See i filled with 500rs petrol immediately after taking my bike from showroom and they informed me that approx 900ml-1L petrol is in the bike, the last bar was blinking so 7 liter plus 1 L( total 8 L fuel and 4 bars on the fuel meter) and the odo was at 8.x Km at that time, after riding for 245km in trip meter, the third bar vanished and it had exact 2 bars left which means approx 4 liter of fuel so 245/4 gives me 61.25 which was shocking for me, hence i stated that even after slight errors in calculation, the bike is returning 58-60kmpl but out of that 250km about 70% of it was on open highway that too in early morning or late night with speedo in range of 40-55kmph
And 2-3 short bursts of few seconds upto 70/75 kmph.
Rest 30% with mild traffic and pillion.
And after 245km i filled 6 liter fuel and the all 6 bars were present and after about 10km the last bar vanished and 5 bars were left means 10L which proves the point that at the time of refuelling there was atleast 4L fuel in the tank.
Well i will update here in future with more accurate tank to reserve( last bar in case of fz) method.

But yes buddy this time i will calculate it through tank to tank method and update here, let me hit the reserve(last bar) and i will fill to the brim and then ride till the moment last bar starts blinking and then again refuel till the brim and divide the distance with the amount of fuel it took at the the time re fuelling till the brim.
Thanks

what are the new features in the latest model compared to the first generation of FZ FI?
Nothing much,
Just the new colours and graphics, absence of headlight switch due to AHO, longer rear mudgaurd in place of tyre hugger and now the brochure states the power as 13.2ps compared to 13.1ps of pre AHO model.
Thanks
Sorry i missed the biggest, important and noticeable change that is 14% more fuel efficiency compared to older fz fi, i came to know about it when this was highlighted by a member over here.

And if you could explain how the complete thing is mounted would be very helpful.

Hi guys,
I'm VIGNESH from madurai I was a silent reader of xbhp forums since 2015 I've just registered on xbhp I own an fzs-fi 2.0 since 2016 I also own a TVS apache rtr 180 since 2012 and also using it, I really love my fzs due to its engine refinement, excellent handling and stability the only thing I miss from the apache is its brutal acceleration and top end . the reason I'm posting this because I've had a problem with my fzs a few days back, I was ascending a small hill on my fzs @1st gear Around 6000rpm I pulled the clutch lever and reduced the throttle to upshift suddenly there was a loud pop/burst noise from the exhaust and I was startled for a moment it sounded like a backfire is it normal I.e was it due to a moment of lean fuel mixture due to my letting go of the throttle quickly or is there a problem with my fi system(clogged injector delivering a lean mixture, ecu problem, oxygen sensor fried)? I never had this problem before and after that and also I tested Agian on that same hill replicating the exact driving conditions there was no backfire again, kindly help me out should I give my bike to the service centre or was it nothing thanks in advance

It is mounted on the bolts used to hold the mudgaurd/fender as you can see in the image 1 and in image 2 can you spot the mounts for rubber strap in which the toolkit is kept in place, underneath the hook for that strap is the bolt on both sides through which the saree gaurd and fender is bolted and in 3rd pic i have tried to give a closer look to that bolt which is underneath that strap, i guess this should be a direct fit and if it is then there is no need to mess anything under the seat, the desired change be performed from outside, thanks [emoji4]

I guess that pop was normal as it happens when there is great change in throttle inputs within a second because more than required amount of fuel is present as just a sec before throttle was at full so fuel was supplied according to input and then a sudden blip in throttle results in sudden burn of excess fuel and hence the sound. this is more noticeable and enjoyable in higher cc bikes, But i might be wrong so wait for responses from senior and experienced members, But don't be worried.
Enjoy your ride.

Actually I was asking about the sareeguard which comes as stock with the bike

How is this one mounted ? I think for this you will have to first open the seat then click a pic from sidewise

Can the AHO be disabled and normal switch can be applied?
Because I don't think headlights turning on during bright sunny day would make any sense as it is not visible in sunlight.also I guess the bulb and battery life will be less now

There are two holes in the frame to mount the gaurd in pic attached by you.

Thank You for the pic, I don't think this would be a direct fit as this part does not exist on the old fz.
