What do you mean by reset air screw? Is it not tuning the carb?

Guys, I had been to the SVC today regarding my choke not working. First the SVC fellow started giving me stories that it is working as expected.
After some serious talking he said they have to clean the carb because of dust. Then he himself was mentioning that I would not get mileage because of this.

Hi

This screw is in carb & this will control the air mixture in petrol. They just screwed in & out then finally kept @ original position. No this is not tuning the carb.

He is cheating you. There is no point in cleaning carb for stuck choke.
Just follow my shadow.

I hope not, because the choke is actually not stuck. I felt he was cheating me when he was telling stories that "this is how the choke is supposed to work" and he was manually increasing the RPM by accelerating.

My problem is that the choke doesnt actually work i.e. no change in the RPM even when half/fully applied.

Anyway cleaning the carb should not be a problem for my bike i guess.. (except for probably loss of a little petrol)

Tuning the carb in general means adjusting the air/fuel screw (the screw you mentioned) to adjust the AFR (Air Fuel Ratio). I don't understand what is carb tuning in your terms

Hi Guys,

Will be a proud owner of the blue beast tomorrow.. Getting it delivered in the morning chennai. Is there anything I need to take care during delivery other than regular inspection for scratches and dents and matching the engine no & chassis no with RC book?? Also did any of you try the bullet type (2 lines) crash guard? I am thinking of getting one.. I saw one from the SVC and it looked pretty well.. But not sure if this is a real fit for the bike?

Which dealer??
Dolphin and ghori both quoted 88k which is the price listed on Suzuki website.
I also bargained for free number plates for which he had quoted 300 since it was all cash payment.

Riding a bike never been so exciting once I bought mr Gixxer ,its grunting sound at higher RPM is a head turner ,wider tyre brings apache ,pulsar to shame & gives best stability at cornering .I gave a 60 min feature intro about my suzuki gixxer to the TVS sales guy who woke up form coma & called my no inquiring if I already bought any bike .
