I have completed 2550 KM on my Gixxer. On long rides the Engine feels stressed after crossing 6K RPM and does not rev past 8k RPM. After 6K RPM, too much vibration on foot peg and under the seat and mirrors. It's like the engine will burst out. This has started from last few weeks. I even changed the oil to Motul 5100 SS 15W50 last week and rode for 200KM with the new oil but still the same issue. Please need suggestions guys. Thanks..

These are the symptoms of wrong engine oil grade poured in by you. Recommended grade is w40 for the gixxer so please stick to xxw40 grade. Using a w50 grade oil will only make the engine more sluggish and it will take ages to rev like something is holding it back. Change back to w40 grade and see the difference.

Pics pleaseOriginally posted by Avinash666 View PostIt cost me just Rs.150. Its a RX100 engine guard.
No ground clearance is nearly same as it was earlier. The only problem that I faced was that the rear part of the front mud-guard hitting the upper part of the engine guard whenever the front suspension took a dip. I just cut it off with a blade and now I'm doing just fine.

5100 15w50 caused the engine to behave more sluggish & rough after clocking some kms experienced the same abnormal things in my 220 with all the motul oils.Originally posted by Shamanth Gowda View PostI have completed 2550 KM on my Gixxer. Even for the 220 which is the recommended grade (W 50) it is known to cause roughness & sluggishness so for the gixxer this oil is not at all suitable. Aviod ss & fs motul oils.
Try shell variants.PULSAR 180 DTSI- 2007

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
As I have tried different grades like
10w40
5 w40
15w40
10w30
I got problem with 15w40. so in xxWyy xx is also important atleast for our Gixxer.
I have 10w50 Elf with me and I will try that for April and May and will give feedback for xxW50.
Aviod ss & fs motul oils.
First time I am hearing this. I have never liked Motul's 300v, 7100(tested in Unicorn, Fazer, CT100, 200NS) but the whole forum praises Motul and I don't know why.

My experience with motul oils for my p220 was not that great but i dont understand that why many people are positive towards the motul.Originally posted by sandeepcf View Post

Thanks for the suggestion pal.. I wanted to try Shell in the first place but as there are many good reviews about Motul tried that. Anyways lesson learnt. Can I try Shell AX7 SS 10w40?Originally posted by truelypulsarian View Post5100 15w50 caused the engine to behave more sluggish & rough after clocking some kms experienced the same abnormal things in my 220 with all the motul oils.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
What I suggest is don't install these type of horn. Wiring is bit tough & cutting the factory fitted wires may be done. Bike's battery is not capable for this horn. Always use stock horn though it is useless.Originally posted by Hitesh100 View PostI bought a pair of snail horn for my gixxer as the default one are a lemon but now I can't figure out how to install them ,any help would be welcome

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
You can use the stock horns of Toyota Fortuner...
it's the same size as stock horn (it's a double horn)...and produces a nice, sharp & strong sound... I am using the same on my Let's scooter...😉
It's a Denso brand horns... costs around 700rs. & is waterproof...
