guys... going to sell my Duke 200 & get Gixxer instead...
Reason being going to be fully involved in a business & Duke won't suffice for comfortable riding...
so... Gixxer is the best choice coming from D200... much more comfortable, reliable & decently fun to ride compared to Duke...

Please pour in your valuable views & suggestions guys...

      Woah!!

Unless you plan on pillion riding a lot as well..I don't see why you should downgrade.
The 200 can offer a decent ride as well if ridden sane.
Granted..bit more vibey than gixxer..and probable FE...but I just dont see why else.

        pillion doesn't matter...

trust me you need to be on your toes to enjoy riding Duke...
it's frustrating to ride it slow...

will be commuting more...so comfort, reliability & to an extent fuel efficiency is important...

also... got a very good price for my Duke...[emoji6]

          Haha! K then...

All I can say is..if you are looking for a fun commuter with great performance...you can get the gixxer...eyes closed.
Have ridden with pillion as well...and they haven't complained of lack of space.
It was giving me ~46 during run-in...in the process of measuring post service...

Check some of my previous posts for wet weather performance...

The bike just gives you loads of confidence no matter how and where you ride it.

Definetly gixxer is better than d200 in all aspects except performance. Particularly in comfort of rider and pillion its much better than the duke200.

Iam going to sell my p220 which is near to 4yrs clocked more than 57k kms for this gixxey. I feel the gixxer is more practical in day to day use weather be on highway or in city.
Going for the blue colour after a long confusion among the grey & blue.

While Gixxer is fun, I find Unicorn to be more comfortable(soft seat, handle bar). It is a perfect commuter.

Anyone installed seat covers, Tank covers/bag. Please provide some ideas for tank cover so that the beauty of the tank will not be spoiled.

wish Suzuki launches a 200cc variant of Gixxer... with some 20bhp, rear disc and a more aggressive headlight design...[emoji51] [emoji14]

that would have been the most comfortable & fun to ride bike...[emoji6]

It's just been a month since I bought my Gixxer. I've done my first servicing at 800kms. Engine feels a bit smoother after first servicing. Sound and braking are awesome! However, I've one complaint. The gear shifts feeling is not consistent. Sometimes it feels smooth, sometimes it's hard, sometimes requires lot of pressure. The sound which the shift produces is sometimes audible and sometimes very silent. Why is this? Can I do something about it?

Sry for late reply. The showroom offered extra accessories for additional Rs. 1200 which included the mud-guards and seat covers.

I had the same compaint, more when downshifting. The problem increases when the engine heatsup;I've tried to adjust clutch cable, extra lubed the chain, changed the oil at 500kms but nothing helped UNTIL I changed the oil to quartz 9000. Now 90% of the gearshifting problem is gone. The engine feels absolutely smooth with this oil.
Well it is a car oil, so I don't want to present it as a solution to your problem - yet.
                            you can try synthetic/semi oils.
