Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
It ll be there for sometime until the engine parts gets settled in. Don't worry it's normal and don't cross the rpm in your break-in period as mentioned in manual.Originally posted by Preet Bal View PostMy gixxer is heating excessively just 40km on the odo. Some info please.

That is the issue
Let it break in
It will smoothen up gradually
Dont panic about the milage figures about to follow
They do not mean anything bad for the bike
They will go away with time

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Need all your expertise here for the below queries:- I am planning on buying a holder for phones. Since I rely on GPS for a lot of travel I want to get one mounted holder on my bikes. Can someone suggest a good brand which is not too expensive? Preferably waterproof.
- Is bolt bike charger a good idea? will it affect battery health or anything else in a real bad way? Smart Mobile Phone Charger for Bikes - The Bolt
- I am also looking to buy a good raincoat for full body including shoes and bag. I saw a lot of them online but is there any brand you guys can recommend. Something tried and tested as I rather make a one-time purchase.
- Would you guys prefer I use 3M IA260166391 Auto Specialty Shampoo or Formula 1 Carnauba Wash and Wax Shampoo?
- Is the 3M protective paint film good for our bikes? I like the glossy finish it gives. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KRKC4D_D_A
- Self-start doesn't work at times when the bike is in neutral. Every time I give it so service, they adjust something and its works for a while. They told that if it happens again they will change the relay or something. What could be the reason?
Thanks!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello people,
I own a gixxer sf and have done over 4500 kms. Now there are few problems I am facing which I tried to resolve but can't (posted on gixxer sf forum too; earlier):
-Bike's seat (rider) over heats. It gets hot comparable to ktms. Out of curiosity I TD new bike, and specially drove a gixxer and gixxersf of total strangers. Their seats even while riding hard doesn't even get warm. I took it to SVC. They can sort the problem but it comes back again. I am not sure if oil change can sort it since the oil still looks good for next 2k kms. Any solutions?
-The transmission makes lot of noise. I mean a lot. Cleaned it, tightened it, lubed it; I even changed it with another stock chain but the sound goes on. The sound is not at all confidence inspiring. I constantly feel like either rear tire will take off any time or chain will break any time. The sound is similar to that of car in a reverse gear it goes 'zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz'. Any idea or solution
SVC of Petal Suzuki, Ahmedabad don't know rat's a** about the bike. I even complained to Suzuki India, after that SVC simply bombarded me with pressure to clean their name. Can you believe that those dumbf**** literally over lubed my bike to extent that lube was scattered on the entire rear wheel!!!! Don't go on the cuss words I have written. It's just that after spending 1l on a bike these are the last things I will expect from the bike.
I am looking for these solutions, if any one can provide their inputs or solution I will be grateful. Also considering option to sell this bike off and get something new. I am fed up .

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi everyone I got my bike 3 days back .My gixxer sf rear disc variant is making noise in 4th and 5th gear. I went to the Suzuki mechanic he's saying its the chain noise that will come. But the noise is too loud to bear even with the helmet .Also my rear disc pad is touching a little with the disc .Again mechanic is saying that it will wear off in some time. It happens in new bike. In dehradun only 1 showroom is there from where I got the bike .They aren't listening to the problem .Can anyone tell me about the noises at 4th &5th gear & about the brakes . Should I contact the company .

Please be patient and don't post the same query again and again - they all will just get mergedOriginally posted by aayush123 View PostHi everyone I got my bike 3 days back .My gixxer sf rear disc variant is making noise in 4th and 5th gear. . Both Gixxer and SF and essentially the same, so will reply here. The pads of a disc brake will touch the disc slightly - this is normal. Put the bike on main stand and rotate the rear tyre by hand - there should not be too much resistance.
Disc brake (Front or Rear) - It is self-adjusting and we can't do anything to alter the minute gap between the pads and the disc.
Can you describe a little about the "chain noise" in 4th and 5th gear - what does it sound like?Last edited by ashwanth.r; 06-24-2016, 05:07 PM.
