    Hey guys,

Just wanted to confirm one thing with all the owners of KTM RC 390. We all have being told on the videos and reviews that the bike'a ground clearance is 180mm which is a good 20mm better then duke. But when I rode my bike I didn't felt that, I checked the manual too and the manual says that the ground clearance is 157mm. Did anyone of you noticed this?

          hello guys!!
got my RC last week and rode it back home for a distance of 425 kms
The bike is the perfect upgrade! So perfectly calm and composed on the highways and a beast in the twisties!! I have found a sweet spot riding posture and I'm happy I had no aching wrists or back just a little shoulder ache due to the backpack(I'm not even complaining).
And oh I got a avrg of 33kmpl on this ride!!

Congrats on your new motorcycle purchase , wish you many more happy miles ahead.

BTW , people who get their bikes around now and a month earlier , won't your bikes be model year 2015 rather than 2014 models ?

it is true. I did however have slight discomfort in the wrists and palms in Blore B2B traffic.

2014 September onwards all vehicles bought become 2015 model 2014 registered. All vehicles registered on or after December 1st 2014 will become 2015 model- 2015 registered. As per rto and resale market. The RC book will be upto 2030 Jan.

Is it true?! The website says 178.5mm GC unloaded for both the rc390 and rc200
If the manual says 157mm, write to ktm at [email protected] for clarification.
the d390 is 170mm while the d200 is 165mm unloaded.

Than a lot for the information. I noticed that on a speed breaker. Where the KTM RC390 belly touches and this is the exact speed breaker where p220 goes pass normally. Then I checked the manual. If any other RC390 owner can check the manual and enlighten on this would be better.

Ok so yes the Rc is lower than p220.
However you can conquer any bumper on the RC just slow down to 20s and accelerate over the bumper and you wont face this issue.
It was mentioned some time back in the forum. I do it personally everyday, no issues sometimes the belly does graze but accelerating over the bumpers will solve your problems.

I am not an owner, but I downloaded the manual from KTM site. It says ground clearance is 178mm unloaded.

I was planning to get an RC 390 and after reading all the 59 pages in this thread, I've decided to go for it. I will be booking my KTM RC 390 today. The dealerships in Bangalore all claim to have a waiting period of 45-60 days. Now this is annoying. But then I guess the wait makes this bike even more special as it is going to be my first bike ever. Does anyone know if this waiting period can be cut down in anyway?
Since the wait is the same everywhere, can anyone recommend a good dealership in Bangalore where customer service and satisfaction is a priority over sales/bookings?
                                Thank You.
