i don't have exact idea about the cost the drls but i would say it would roughly be about 3 thousand 4 thousands or more

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Then i don't think it would cost a hefty amount to fix that . best would be visiting the SVC for the final idea about the damage and cost for fixing itOriginally posted by jackofsome View Postno the drls are working fine. its just the plastic over it which extends till below the clear glass.

You're not wrong but the dealer can quote a waiting period of his choosing. However if they do not deliver in the quoted waiting period then one may take legal action.
What I'm saying is that the dealer can quote upto 6months waiting period beyond which it is unreasonable and therefore he'd loose business. But he must deliver in quoted time else its illegal.
You guys are crying over 90 days and I heard in 1960-70 the average waiting for a vespa scooter was 1-5 years or more :O. (don't know how much of it is true, maybe a member who was born in the 70's can confirm) at least that's what my grandpa and a few other old men said. :P

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
It would have been quite plausible had they atleast committed to deliver it by Jan end. What they said was "PROBABLY" Jan end, in a very non-assuring and almost insolent way!Originally posted by Balgi View PostYou're not wrong but the dealer can quote a waiting period of his choosing. If you claim a waiting period of 45 days and cant even guarantee 90, that's ridiculous!!
Also, I dint find anything in written on the booking receipt which says that waiting period is 45 days
I don't think I can take legal action then
I'm planning to send a mail to KtmIndia. Lets see if they can goad these nuts somehow

are you by any chance from pune ??
You have to go and visit the showroom instead of talking on phone as they take things lightly on the phone,
I remember same thing happened with me when I was told may be December end on phone and I personally visited the showroom. And got it next day
And if you have booked from bund garden from pune they just say anything.
If you have completed 60 days go to showroom ask them to show the list and it will work for you.
Same thing happened with me.Last edited by BiKeLovER; 12-21-2014, 01:37 PM.sigpic

Congrats for getting your RC man
I envy you!!
I live in Nigdi and have booked my RC at KTM Baner.
I never called them. I personally visited them 3 times. I also said that I'm ready to pay full cash! But to no avail!
When and where had you booked your RC?
And after how many days did you get it??

But AFAIK for 390 dealers are getting more stocks compared to 200. You just have to be that pain.
Do this go to showroom tell them you quoted 45 days and ask to cancel the booking.
They will say 4k for cancellation. Ask them why this huge amount for a product which has not arrived and even you are not sure when it will come.
Make some noise you will be heard trust me happened with me.sigpic

I'll ask them for the list!!
The receptionist claimed that the production had stopped for 15 days and hence the delay.
She also said that they've delivered only 14 bikes since the inception!
3 times I went with my friend who wants to test ride it. Everytime the test bike wasn't there.
Once they said it's in Goa! This friday it was supposedly out for some event
I'll go check the list tomorrow!
Thanks a lot pal

What??! :O
They didn't specify a delivery date?! :O
That is against the law. They have to specify delivery date, they can't take the booking amount otherwise and they can also quote additional charges towards price hike and processing fee otherwise.
This is wrong. How much did you pay as booking amount? Tell them to return it immediately and go book with another dealer. Ask for spot or immediate delivery there. And do send an email to ktm with the dealer name and the booking slip copy and tell them you'll take legal action against them if they don't rectify it immediately.
Be it 45 days or 500 days doesn't matter but the dealer must. (absolutely must) quote a fixed delivery date and give a valid reason for delay past that date. This is outrageous.
